Is anyone else totally stoked on this season? I felt like last season and season 3 were okay, but this one is blowing my mind.

I've been thinking hard on that too. I can't think of any reasons at all. What's really blowing my mind is Sayid meeting little Ben. When I start thinking about it that means that Ben knows would come to the island. Think about Whidmore remembering that he met Locke when he was a kid. It's starting to really get me thinking. Also what really freaked me out, was in the plane crash, the second pilot died the same way as the one in season 1. Weird little things like that.

I also read this really awesome theory about Lost. When I was reading it, it seemed a little...out there. As the season has progressed I think this guy really might be onto something. I'll try and search for the link.

Was it the time loop theory guy? He has been consistently right since before season 3 and most of his ideas were confirmed this season.

I still think whidmore is Charlie, Desmond and Penny's kid. Just an Idea.

YES!!! The time loop theory. That is an insane theory but some how this guy is spot on. I agree it's making more and more sense as the show goes on. I'm so glad you have read it cause I can't find it anywhere. Do you have a link?

What is this Whidmore is Charlie, Desmond and Penny's kid, please explain?

OK here is the idea:
The Idea is that penny is Charles whidmores daughter and Alex was Bens daughter.

This is all based on the time loop theory by the way..
Lets start with Alex/Ben. We now know from this season that Ben was definitely not Alex's father. Even though that was already said many times by both ben and rousseau. Ben has always been very concerned with Alex's safety. He has to because if shes dies. It alters his reality greatly. So when military guy kills Alex. Ben appears in Whidmores room in the middle of the night in the next episode and says "you broke the 'rules'. So now I am going to kill Penny."

The rules must have involved that they couldnt try and kill each other off. That is why ben seemed so sure that Whidmores military guy wouldnt do it.

Whidmore treated penny with the exact same care. Making sure she was always safe and never involved with the island. When Desmond came to his office he was sure to beg him to keep her "hidden and safe".

I think that Desmond, penny and their son charlie go back to the island. They get caught in a time flash. Go back to the 50s and get stuck there. Penny and Des die and become the adam and eve of the island(season 1). Charlie lives on and is adopted by the others as we saw this season. Flashback to the confrontation between Ben and Whidmore in his room "Benjamin this island has always belonged to me and you know it."

Rinse and Repeat.
I think charles and ben are trying to get out of a cycle they have been stuck in and Ben is doing everything he can to get out of it.

Woah, so basically you think that Whidmore is actually Pennys and Desmonds baby? Holy shit, I think that could be highly possible and could totally make sense with him saying the island was always his. How about that for a mind fuck, haha?!

I think the stuff about the cycles is really close to being spot on. The way the other plane crash happens, the way Ben is never surprised about anything. If you pay attention there are only a few times when his reaction is different from his normal sly self. When Alex gets killed is a perfect example. It is insane to think that the idea is that they've been trapped in a never ending cycle of the same thing happening over and over again. It also really freaked me out when they said Ethan was the name of Amys baby. He must join up with Ben some how, or the others must steal him or something.

This season is getting so good. What I'm curious about is how Sawyer convinced Horace to let them join Darhma. So much to learn, and that damn four toed statue!

Myst also hurt my brain, a lot. Watching this season of Lost is driving me nuts though. I hate that I have a week to freak out over the last episode and then get my mind blown again and again. haha This season for me is the most intense and the hardest for me to wrap my mind around.

So many questions, so little answers. Lost is awesome!

Well in a preview I saw of next week it appears that little Ben is in the hospital but who knows. Also if you listen to the LOST podcast they shed a little more insight into that. I won't go to far into detail unless asked. I am stoked about the episode last night. I can't wait for the episode called "Some Like It Hoth", it's some sort of Star Wars reference.

The young man who plays young Ben gave an interview in which he indicated that there was a major Ben-themed story arc about to come into play. That was a few weeks ago, before the most recent episode aired. He said that he was told not to try to emulate the adult Ben in his mannerisms too much because the character was going to go through some traumatic change that made him the twisted adult Ben. He had some interesting things to say about how on the set, the actors are only told as much about plot developments as they need to know for current shooting.

I liked the bit from Sayid's childhood (the chicken scene) very much. It was pretty much necessary given the way that what we know about Sayid has changed from Iraqi Republican Guard torturer during the Saddam years to a pretty cold blooded all-purpose killer. The implication at this point is that he's always been willing to kill when he saw a purpose to it.

Dean, that is very similar to what the LOST podcast talked about. I highly suggest listening to it, although they beat around the bush a lot they share some good info from time to time. The one from today was really informative, more so than usual.

Great episode! Even little Ben is creepy!

I was never too sure about Sayid's character but the longer it's gone on the better he's become. The time loop theory does seem to explain what's happening better than most.

I really enjoyed the episode tonight.

I find it interesting that both Sayid and Jack thought they were saving everyone by not saving Ben, but it appears to me that they are the reasons that he "turned". Richard saying that he will never be the same. I really was hoping we'd see inside the temple tonight. I get the hunch we'll be seeing the smoke monster next week. This is getting crazy.

I'm nervous for the finale.
