Post Land Devils Hack Developers Brain! ~ New Sculpts! more pics.
News Flash! Nu Yokai spotted internationally!..

There have been strange sightings of "yokai" or "ghouls" hovering over Hiway's and oddly, around Developers Conventions and Large yards of bulldozers!?! ?

There are also reports coming in of... "braindead".. "men in suits" being hospitalised, worldwide.
No one is sure but there are rumours that these Yokai are somehow involved.

More as news comes to hand.........

Introducing Shizen Boodoo
Hello Shizen Boodoo,

Image
image of wax sculpts photoshpd with some simple colours.

Here are 2 of 3, of my new resin pieces standing around 7 inches. With moveable bits for added fun!
2 have moveable heads and torso. The other one has moving arms aswell.
The final rubber molds have been made with a few mistakes for character  And I've started pouring with interesting results. I hope to have a few decent/complete ones in a few days.
Hand built goodness.... done the hard way, with heaps of love and sweat going into each one
What do you think? more pics soon.
Anton.

I dig these. They remind me of bootleg versions of the bad guys from DinoRiders!

Especially like the guy in the front with the knife hand and insect-looking face!

Thanks Ricky and Jcrazy, Its hard to put something out there publicly...that youve put some time and effort into. I wanted to show the people on SB first as this is a place of inspiration to me. I was also inspired by all the lovely bush around my home being destroyed by bulldozers to make way for "estates". Kind of enivitable I guess but a bit sad none the less.
I will post some pics of the resins soon.

I like em. The guy in the front is also me fave. Are they gonna be one piece, or swivel at the waist?

Hey GrapefruitGoblin, yep they Swivel at the waist and the heads can move too. And the insect looking fellah, Koosei arms move.
Ive been pouring resin over the last week figuring out the air traps and experimenting with colours. Here is a couple shots of them not cleaned up and in the raw.

Thanks Vombie and fair call about the details, I can see that. Though atleast some of the simplicity was deliberate. For example the guy with the tentacle like head represents a transforming from the spirit world to this world hence the simple malformed lines and the way he is standing just touching the ground like he is walking out of the ground one foot is forming and at the same time launching into the sky and the other is still coming out of the ground. It was also a deliberate attempt to keep it just as it was originally drawn with this figure being an almost exact 3d representation of the original sketch.
By the way it was a bugger getting this to balance properly (and still is  ) as It was originally made in plasticene. Molds were made then wax was poured, then they were cleaned up and then a mold of the wax was taken and now the final of resin is much heavier and when the parts are reassembled getting it to stand is quite a feat.

Now to let this thread die with the silly intro I wrote very late at night and I'll start another when i get my first proper lot up. Cheers!
