not sure how many of you know this but if you want to look up reviews on stuff, check out http://www.metacritic.com/. I check it all the time for game reviews. It basically takes an average score of all the reviews but also lists who gave it what score so you can read more.

bert, i grabbed the nhl09 demo, but i havent played it yet.

i tried out conan, resident evil 5, star wars force unleashed, lego batman, lego indiana jones.... got a few more i havent tried yet

also, i ended up buying the bionic commando game online. it's awesome!

The downloadable demos have definitely saved me some coin, finding out what I like and don't like before I buy...

I actually liked RE5 - the controls were not that odd however I also liked 4. still, it does fall into the wonky J-horror controls that you either love or hate.

I tried out the demo for Afro Samurai and I really got into it. That might be one of those "find it used and cheap" games

I'm with you on RE. I can play a low rating game if the controls are solid but a good game with odd controls...no thanks. I don't want to have to try and learn controls while trying to figure everything else out in a game. Yes...I am a lazy gamer

COD4 is awesome...but I'll only play it on a PC
tried COD5...it's okay but something about COD4 makes me like it more. There should be a fair amount of cheap used games. Stranglehold is kinda fun. Some mixed reviews about Folklore but I like it.

Really? I dunno about the PS3 version, but I got the controls after, like, 15 min. of playing on the 360. My only gripe is I wish they ran faster! If I was getting chased by some 2 headed dog in an African junkyard, better believe I'd be running a LOT faster than these 2! It'd be cool if you had a "sprint" option that ran out, so you couldn't just sprint the whole game.

It's kinda cool..especially when you download some skins (sabre weilding C3PO is funny)...but it gets old a bit to quickly for me.



That's what I'm talking about. Like I said...I'm lazy and having to spend 15min of playing to figure out controls...not my kind of thing. I should be good to go within 5min of playing.

PURE is pretty cool...if you like racing ATV's.

Hahahaha OK, point taken. A bit of clarity, EVERY non-side scrolling video game takes me 15 min. to get the controls down. Does that make me a slow-controls learner?

That's what I'm talking about to, I got it after a while, but by then I was already over it... Give me ease of use or give me nothing!

That being said a lot of the other shooter games I've demo'd seem a lot easier, like steadier shooting action than Killzone, but I love it anyways.

I think there was one called resistance maybe? That was pretty fucking fun to, that was the only other one I've considered buying so far.

flower is pretty nice, so nice in fact that nicole spent an entire evening playing and beating it. it was neat to watch.

ZEN Pinball demo....was skeptical at first because it is a CG version of pinball. After trying the demo, I just might be sold on it.

Fallout 3 is the only game in recent memory worth every cent, imo. There are many cool games out there, but Fallout 3 kept me entertained from Christmas through March and I still have about 5 trophies to get. I only put it down to play RE5 (which I also enjoyed but beat within 2 days and obtained all of the single player trophies within 2 weeks).
