I'll post up a pic of the rocket next to something so you'll get a sense of scale. It's a pretty good size. Were there a fair amount of vinyl rocket toys with pilots made in the old days? I only see the tin ones.

Re: Not the most expensive toy in the world but... Here's the space vehicle from the Marusan Tederos line (vinyl). You can't see it very well in the picture, but there is a little guy sitting in the cockpit. This is probably about 8 inches long. I also have a submarine type vehicle and a drill dozer from this series.
