"Vase de Noces"
("The Wedding Trough", aka "The Pig F*ck*ing Movie")

A Belgian arthouse film directed by Thierry Zéno and starring Dominique Garny.
Made in 1974, this is one of the world's most obscure movies.
Despite having been shown at many film festivals,
it was only finally released on DVD this year
never having had an official video or theater release before.

The film has a very incoherent plot structure, and is difficult to describe chronologically
due to several strange and often random scenes interwoven into the main story.
Such displays consist of the farmer fastening doll heads to pigeons,
cutting off the head of a chicken, and collecting strange materials in jars.

In the story the farmer, who may or may not be the last person on Earth, falls in love with his huge sow.
After bonding with her in ways such as rolling in manure with her, he finally decides to consummate the relationship.
The sow gives birth to a litter of human/pig hybrids, whom the farmer also tries to bond with.
He tries feeding them, but they only wish to be with their mother.
Jealous, the farmer hangs them all.
When she discovers that her children are dead, the grief-stricken sow runs away and drowns herself in a mud pit.

The farmer looks for his love and is overcome with sadness when he finds her.
He drags her out of the pit and buries her back at the farm, subsequently trying to bury himself along with her.
When this fails, he begins destroying every important aspect of his life, including the strange jars that he collected throughout the film.
After this breakdown, he oddly begins making tea out of his feces and urine,
which he consumes wholeheartedly until he throws up.
Finally, he hangs himself off a ladder, the last image of the film.

Probably not suitable for vegetarians.

I don't think either of these fit the bill for what you're looking for, but reading through this I was reminded of two films - only one of which I've seen. That would be "My Best Friend" about Werner Herzog & Klaus Kinski's relationship - great friends that truly tried/wanted to kill each other.
The other is not something i have any interest in watching. I can't remember the name of it, but it was a documentary about a "horse brothel" in Washington. It was only discovered by authorities because one of its patrons died as a result of the service provided.

If you want to really "freak out" your friends, bootleg up a DVD case for something nuts that doesn't exist, make up whatever you want "Banana Suicide pt. 1" or something. Then download and burn a copy of something awful, like "Moonstruck" and put a matching label on it. Let the fun begin. Moonstruck.

How could I forget - Channel 4 did this bonkers show called I'm in Love with My Car about 2 guys who were. One of them would actually shag cars and was caught (for lack of a better word) raping someone else's car.
True story.

Cutting Moments is pretty bizarre, extreme AND bizarre, but NT may be right, it may not belong in a list of "fun" weird films.

Yeah, I only liked that movie in a really downer/depressing way.

I would recommend Singapore Sling, it's my favorite fucked up weirdo movie, and it's really well done.

Did you ever see that show about the woman who was in love with and MARRIED the Eiffel tower? She even changed her last name to Eiffel. She loved like buildings & shit. hahaha. same premise, but even weirder.

Also one woman was in love with her Bow & claimed that they had sex. HA

I'll put in my recommendation for Salo as well definitely on the top of the serious type weird shit movies. Hell, its part of the Criterion Collection for those that know that production company.

If you have a Chinatown in your vicinity, find the oldest Chinese herbal medicine store there. Jars of spiders, bats, dried lizards, all sorts of really weird animals and parts are used to concoct a recipe to cure various maliases. Then theres all sorts of normal plant herbs too.

I love crispin glover, I have all his books signed and left a few messages on his answer phone when you could do that about ten years ago. The album is genius too.

Really? I just can't get into him. I don't feel it's weird or artsy, just contrived. Like he woke up one day and said "I'm going to be 'weird'" and that was that. Maybe I'm missing something, I just get annoyed generally. It doesn't come off as genuine, though, so his stuff never REALLY seems "weird."
