I'm pretty sure it is called the "Original Bullmark Hedorah" color scheme. For some reason people started to call it the Tokyo color scheme recently, but I've never seen it referred to as the Tokyo color scheme in any Japanese collector books.

Pardon my ignorance but what are "the Bullmark colors?" Did you mean oldstyle paint in general or a specific scheme?

The tokyo or bullmark colors..Forgot the official name but this color.

I am gonna play the old angry man card and say that before this board existed there was no such term as "Tokyo colorway", I vaguely remeber a Blobpus that may of had that name
and this might be where it started, otherwise someone here started the trend. In reality it was just the original Bullmark Hedorah colorway and no special name was used, the Hawaii attachment is just that, Bullmarks released in Hawaii.

I've also heard the "Tokyo" colorway was coined by BLObPUS for one of his releases.
I think people just use it now since it's much easier to say than the original Bullmark Hedorah colors.

Yeah I agree with Joe, I know it's politically incorrect to call it Tokyo but it is so much easier to say than "original bullmark color scheme". Besides not collecting vintage I get confused because then I start thinking to myself "do they mean the multitude of hawaiian colors, or what?" It's a way of simplifying it, even if incorrect.

Yes, there were also a green grey and a rose red grey Blob both released with a Tokyo<>Hawaii header, at least four Blobs used it.

I was so stoked see the announcement of this version via email. As a more recent collector I love being able to get classic pieces reissued with a bit of a twist. I'd love to get the original, but feel like this is much more within my reach.

Believe me this is perfectly fine with me. How about a full size clear Bako in this Hawaii scheme next?!
The Ava fullsize is amazing, and subscribers are so lucky to have it made available to them. That picture knocked my socks off!

Will these be at Roto ON the 10th? I ask cause' that's the Chicago meet up, figured it'd be cool to hit them first to take a look before feeding our fat faces.

The facotry in Japan had a little hiccup last week so the gargamel and S7 release dates are a little uncertain right now. I will keep you posted as we know more.

These will be available through distro.
