Koji mentioned a while back that they could not produce clear Zags because some pieces would become deformed when pulled from the mold; specifically, he was talking about the tail section. At around the time that the sculpt was changed to the one-piece body, I think the first Zag produced in clear vinyl (SDCC 2007) was released. They have since made a number of clear vinyl Zags. So I suspect they changed to sculpt to accommodate production of these. See discussion here: http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3334this is true, the Kozik Zags were supposed to be clear when it was first being dicussed but for the reason above it was not done so thats why all the GID painted over figures.

 Re: zag checklist
If anyone needs to mark the Biskup Zag off their checklist Rotofugi has them for retail right now, along with a few other Biskup items. They must have bought them direct from Bispop gallery when it closed.

 Re: zag checklist
I always wondered how does the mask for the teeth on the Zag work? Is it just a flexible thing like tape, and disposable, or something more 'industrial'?

The masks are metal, the vinyl is heated to fit snugly when painting so you dont get overspray. And even simple masks are crazy expensive in Japan or you would probably see alot more used.

 Re: zag checklist
I just got my first zag. It is a kozik hp death trip with anarchy sign on the back. Bloody mouth and blood drips down torso. Can anyone tell me how much these cost when they were released? Does anyone know how many of this version were released? I like it and it was a hell of a trade. I unloaded a kozik western figure for it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks..

^^^^ Gotcha. I obviously couldn't decipher your cryptic writing. Quote: I just got my first zag. Thanks.. I don't collect kozik toys or western toys but I'm sorry you had to unload one for that zagoran. It's the worst in my opinion. Not sure of the run number...Over 40 at least. There is a picture in a another thread.

 Re: zag checklist
Yasu obviously has a direct contact with Gargamel to have a couple of the blanks that he has. He must be a favorite of Thrashout. He even has a Buzz Cola Zag, so he must be in Japan. Impressive collection and impressive customs. He has more than I do: I counted and I now have 43 standard size Zags, including customs. I don't see any Kozik Zags in his collection though. Beautiful!
Oops. I think I do see a silver Kozik Zag on his lower left shelf.
