hey peeps, i am distressed to say that a second attempt to reach "michael" was unsuccessful. it is now going on almost three months, so i am officially saying Book 2 is MIA.

I just started following this thread and I am amazed by the entries that I have seen posted up on here // Future_Man's blog, such great work from the artists. I am sorry to hear that Book 2 has gone the way of Amelia Earhart though and I was wondering if a "new" Book 2 is being started in its absence.

Any updates on book one?

Seriously, has ANYONE heard from Board member "michael"? It seemed he was pretty cool being straight about lagging on the mailing during the big East Coast snow storm a few months ago. I wonder if he just lost it? I guess the death knell officially rang for this book.

Two or three books are MIA...doesn't make much sense to start another...

We could all just draw something based on a standardized theme and format and send it to one location, rather than the other way around. I know that this defeats the flow and continuity that the books might have had, but the books have disappeared...sucks to put work into something and then have it essentially taken by someone that it wasn't intended for.

I think this is my official declaration attesting to the project demise.

I admit, I am pretty disappointed at the compliance. I don't have negative commentary on any one person, but I will say that, it is an interesting observation to see how certain things are treated when another person isn't "getting something" from it, or adding it to their collection, etc. If this were a toy you'd bought or traded, most people would be up in arms.

Here are some things folks should remember:
1) Moleskines are not free, they were bought;
2) The contributors, up to this point, put their own creative time into something they believed in (as well as their own money to ship to the next person); and,
3) One month, being the given time to make an entry and mail to the next, is a LONG time...honestly, there are few excuses.

I have the master list of names from the two books. If I start a new one, I will contact you individually and we can do something.

Does uberboy have book one?
If so, I'll beat it out of him when I see him next.
