I put them on the site with the mini zag and I got just as many orders. some sold in the store and the rest out the web.

15 minutes! a little faster than the zag even.

I've always been surprised when some of the kids on here go elsewhere like TT and SOS to pick pieces up. I fully understand them now.

I think you are being a little unfair. I suspect recent ebay auctions for the SDCC obake that finished at 2x retail caused some people to buy the Damage Brain (and Zag) for resale. There are also a lot of new collcetors since SDCC. Basically, more people are chasing these figures right now.

Not to mention that the masked rangers line is the best idea SB has had in a long time and almost everyone (besides Geo) wants one. I don't see how this is very different from the way the normally release SB figures.

And then the burn for those trying to flip the SDCC Skull Brains.
$133 or so on ebay down to $90 and further south.
When S7 and TT are still selling them.

Lucky SB had one left last week while I was in Tokyo or I would have been screwed, since I didn't go for the S7 Zag, refuse to buy from Span, and would rather not deal witha pre-order scenario from TT.

i disagree. ramos said he would post in BST when they were going up, and it didn't happen. and since they went up at the same time as the zags, there were already a ton of people refreshing the site that would not have been doing so at any other time and those who weren't interested in the zag totally missed out.

it doesn't matter to me either way personally, since i have the damage brain, but it's unfortunate for people who elected not to purchase from toy tokyo in order to support super7 and then weren't able to do so.

nah, I really don't want to buy a shirt but if I have to, to get a damaged brain I probably will. I figure span may be my last chance besides the bay.

I have to agree completely, and not to be a dick either but I have been checking the BST daily since the announcement was made earlier this week. I tend not to check the S7 store as often. Sucks, was really anticipating this one : /

Unless it's a piece here or there, items are usually up on the Super7 site for a second before it's posted here. The release of both figs was fast and furious (Flynn was manning phones!) and both were gone in under 20 min. and the damaged under 15, probably didn't get a chance to get over here.

Super7 and Skullbrain has always done their best to "do right by us". Visit the Super7 site there's tons of shit that never makes it here and they do sponsor our little board.

Cut'em some slack I think they've earned it.

Agreed!
There are 419 registered users here...
there are far fewer of the Secret Base Damaged Amoeba Man spread out amongst at least 3 sellers in the US and several more overseas...
it's was going to sell out. And not everyone is going to get it..
Super7 always hooks up people on here as much as they can...

Sorry I didn't post it in the buy sell area. shit was busy, there was a solid group of people waiting to get in. once the store sales were done I put the items on the website and watched to make sure we didn't oversell anything. between the phone orders and the web rush, last thing on my mind was "I need to log into skullbrain and post a little message". I was more concerend with our promotion/release then the damaged amoeba man.

truth is this toy is dumb limited, no matter what time we released it someone would have "missed out". collecting these rad figures take patience, and if you pay attention to that BST thread then you know most shit pops up again over time.

I have to agree with all of the positive statments here.

Super7 and RAMOS in particular have been more than helpful, supportive, accomodating, etc.

This is not ToysRfuck or whatever. These are real people doing the best they can to make vinyl addicts happy. Please respect that.

Not to be a dick and stir the pot but it seems like the folks who got one are happy and think everything was perfect and the ones who didn't, e.x. myself aren't.

I know it was uber-limited. And with all the, ah-hem, interest that's built up I knew it was going to be a fight. But it still stings. I'll be honest and say I'm pretty much broke. I had enough for this release and I'm tapped oput for a month or so. Hence not checking the zag sale as much as I think they rock.

And Super 7 has done right by me. And I'd like to think I've been pretty damn loyal to them. Maybe going back to the saturday at noon release deal would be the fairest way. Then everone lines up and it is off to the races...

I leanred a few lessons from all this...

1. Stay on top of shit if you want something that bad.
2. Its just a toy.
3. Whiskey helps heel the pain.
4. Someone will be selling theres soon enough.

I dropped a few hints earlier like 3 times and noone heeded the warning....You will never hurt S7 by buying elsewhere on a huge and popular release like this. They sold them out no problem..I always look at S7 first for my shit then go elsewheres but for the Damage i jumped on it when i could because i missed out on the blue plush brain....My heart lies w/Brian and Ramos/S7 crew but you cant always put all of your eggs in one basket.... Sincerely good luck to everyone that waited and missed....
