Post Newbie...what's wrong with them ?
Okay, I know this is kind of lame but I will post the contents of some pm I got from a newbie. I just can't understand his reaction and I think it is really weird, not to say funny...

Here's the deal : I am selling a couple of RxH lot since 2 weeks, without any luck. This member offered me to buy 3 of these figures and I told him I would need to find a buyer for the 3 others figures included in the lot. Still unlucky/
Three days later, I put the lots on ebay...and I got these pm as a reaction....the first one has been send 5h after I put the lots on ebay...

Hi JL,

It is not very nice of you to agree to sell me the three mutant evils for $155 then put them up on ebay without even dropping me a courtesy email.

Can you at least compromise? Can you please end the ebay auction -or- state in your description that the auction is for the chaos only and sell me the flesh colored mutant evil with the black spray for $60?

If you can compromise I will feel better. The chaos that you have with it did not even come out at the same time. I think its only right to compromise with me. Please let me know as I feel bad.

me wrote:
Sorry for this, but please understand that these auctions have been listed yesterday around 11pm and that at that time, I kind of forgot about my previous offer.

As you can see it on the forum, I offered the 3 chaos for the same price than the 3 Evil. With no luck.

I don't want to break these lots as I'm convinced they suit perfectly as they are.

Sorry for this, I will not change my auctions now, I will see what happen when they end.

Dear jl,

Concerning the deal breaking on the mutant evils, I thought I would let you know I have every one of the RxH's you have listed on ebay and just wanted to buy the extras from you for trade purposes only.

I just located several hard to find pieces I am missing that I wanted including the brown Sanegiman Mutant Head I was looking for and have and will be spending my money on other pieces as well so I am no longer hot to buy your items.

This does not however excuse you from deal breaking without even a courtesy email! You have been on the board since 2006 and really should know how to treat people and should have at least emailed me prior to breaking your word on the three mutant evils you said I could have for $155. A simple email out of courtesy, no, I have to find them on ebay! Fortunately I really dont care BUT its still not at all respectful, mature or kind! What bullshit! I dont lick ass for toys and you really pissed me off!

Now that I got that off my chest, I forgive you and wish you luck on your ebay items! You owe me one, mayby we can do business in the future. :) really, I have no hard feelings as I got this off my chest and wish you well.

With kind regards,
Peace

I have to say this is the weirdest message since I'm on the forum :) I just don't get the purpose of it...

As you said, maybe we can don business in the future, but honestly, I can't promise you anything.

newbie wrote:
You think its the "weirdest" message? How about being an inconsiderate deal breaker? That is 'weird'! Obviously you are not mature enough to "get the purpose of it..."!

The "purpose of it" was to to tell you directly that you acted like a jerk... I don't think Brian Flynn or any of the more mature members of this board would disagree.

Your playing dumb saying you "don't get the purpose" & "I can't promise you anything" is a manipulative response that reflects an arrogant imature psychology. Your responses are pathetic!
I "honestly" hope you grow up!

If you have something mature to say to me I am open as I am not petty, but for now fuck off and good luck with your ebay auctions.

Sincerely,
Peace brother

I don't even want to reply, it is going to be useless...

Please, tell me that I'm not the only one who got such pm ??? please.... :)

This shit cracked me up.

I don't understand half the crap that comes out of people's mouths these days. I tend to ignore and drop it.

i like a lot of the newbies. it takes a bit of time to show who you are on skullbrain, so maybe this guy will improve with age. if he already owns all these figures, but just wants doubles for trading that irks me a bit. i know i'm not on the same side as everyone on this, but i'd rather a newbie with a small but growing collection get the sale over a toy hoarder who will just dump it later if it can't be traded.

here's the main point:
if you haven't paid for something yet, you do not have a deal.

Yeah, I have received some pretzel logic regarding sales from some newbs before. What is common is the overblown sense of entitlement. These are the same folks who beg & plead for shit to be held as if their lives depended upon the purchase and then flake out (usually by never contacting you again). I always figure these are the 13 year olds that come over from ** and can't follow through because Mommy won't let them use her paypal account.

My love for you is like a truck, Dealbreaker
Would you like some making fuck, Dealbreaker
My love for you is like a rock, Dealbreaker
The Dealbreaker is just so obscene
Likes evil people you know what I mean
He takes your soul and then just rips you apart
He'll steal your heart
Would you like to smoke some pot, Dealbreaker
My love for you is ticking clock, Dealbreaker
Would you like to suck my cock, Dealbreaker
Would you like some making fuck, Dealbreaker

I've pmed with quite a few noobs recently. The ones I've talked to seem cool enough. It's a changing landscape. When I joined I was scared of getting chewed out so I was always careful with my posting, but it seems like a lot of the noobs joining now don't have that worry. Maybe it's because they're coming from other forums- and just doing here exactly what they're accustomed to doing. It doesn't bother me, actually I find it entertaining. Noobs acting the fool keep things lively.

I will agree that you should have sent him/her a PM stating that you hadn't found a second buyer and were taking it to eBay. And in that one weird PM they genuinely seem to have moved on after the "fuck off" paragraph. Beyond that though - wow.
Also, for some reason (PM exchanges?) I thought you are from France. If that's the case, clearly your english is very good, but perhaps a little was "lost in translation". Maybe I'm completely wrong about France though.

I disagree, the english is perfect. Favorite thread ever, since I enjoined the forum.

No, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the english (other than a spelling/grammatical error or two  ) - just a hypothesis based on a possible fictitious memory.

Well, I agree that I should have send him an email about this, usually I do it after I put the items on ebay (in case the guy is still interested). In that case, I don't understand the flaming within 6 hours I posted the auction...man, I have to sleep sometimes :)

Anyway, all in all it's not a big deal, I find it quite entertaining, but I assume that the forum's population has now changed a lot more than what I thought.

Are we dinosaurs or what ?

Oh, and thanks for the poem
