ShadowSpectre_7 is my PSN name but since I sold my PS3, I play with my brother's name on the weekend under CanCsal until I get a new one, since isn't looking too good now that I collect my toys.

Been wanting to buy Fat Princess and NHL09, but Street Fighter and Vegas 2 (to a lesser extent) take up most of my time since I mostly just play with my brother. Not to mention Pixel Junk Monsters and Resident Evil 5.

Katamari Tribute demo!!!
Not sure if the new style is all throughout the world but there's 2 levels to play. In one, you plant flowers and the other level is the usual Katamari thing. Sure it's basically the same thing over again but it's always fun to see new objects. I might have to play my Katamari games again til the real one comes out.

just got a PS3 for my christmas/birthday gift. i am setting everything up tomorrow and will put up my PSN ID asap.

i already pre-ordered GOW 3, which is the main reason i wanted a PS3 badly. i took advantage of the gamestop weekend deal ( buy 2 used games, get 1 free) and got little big planet, batman:arkham asylum and madden 10. i also ordered modern warfare 2. these should keep me occupied for a while.

my next purchases will probably be MGS4 and GTA 4 and the Uncharted series.

any other games you guys recommend purchasing/renting?

So just to give you an idea just how much I've been playing NHL10: I got this on xmas and just completed a season using the Canucks. I went 69-9-4. Yeah I just played all 82 games in one week. When I close my eyes at night to go to sleep I see the Sedin brothers going down the ice.

So, what are you guys playing now? I've been playing Heavy Rain and have become addicted. Quite a change from God of War III, which is the last game I played (also very good).

Yakuza 4 jp import,and battle feild bad company 2 oh and mhfu on the psp using the ad hoc app on ps3 to play online.

Demon's Souls - one of the best (and hardest) games I have ever played!
Very Dark! Very atmospheric! Kind of scary! Very innovative online features!

Oh, and I died about 1000 times just for the first playthrough!
If I had to recommend one game it would be this!

I've heard a lot of good things about Demon's Souls. Do you have a lot of hours into it or is it a relatively quick playthrough?

It is really very hard and you will have to learn everything by yourself - no one will take your hand and guide you through it - no real tutorials or explanations. You just get thrown in. And then you die. Often. Very often.
The real playthrough time might not be too long, but since you have to figure out how it works and (especially) since every opponent is capable of killing you with two or three hits (which you do not want cause it makes you lose all your exp. and puts you back to the start of the world) it needs some patience and some time. I think I had about 60 hours in for the first round but then I am not a hardcore gamer and I did not hurry. Most people seem to go for a second and third playthrough (the game gets even harder and you cannot trigger everything with just one playthrough). Also, it offers great PvP possibilities but you need really good weapons and skills (= lots of hours) . . .
Give it a try - you should be a RPG fan though.
You also should look for an online guide since a simple mistake can fuck up the whole game (NPCs can turn hostile, killed NPCs stay dead, some NPCs trick you and kill other NPCs...)

I take it you imported Demon souls because they fucked up the rights and did not release a PAL version but there has been news of it coming out in the next few months.

Yep, US import. There are different servers for Asia and America. I wonder if Europe will get its own server?! (You are online the whole time - people leave hints, you can see the ghost of people and how they died, people can assist you but also can invade your game and hunt you down.)
