Re: 90s punk/hardcore kids Cap'n Jazz hits the West Coast! yeah, I don't follow DVB as much. after 30 degrees everywhere, I thought he just got kind of suckier. Nothing Feels Good has memories so I still have it. but Very Emergency--holy moly I thought that was horrible.
I'd put it on every year or so just to see if it'll make sense to me, but it doesn't. it's just bad.
Wood and Water was alright though. I almost forgot about that one. Boys and Girls was cool too.

Yes, for us old dudes, I agree its emo, but i avoid the term nowadays. If you grew up in the midwest, it was kind of a blur. I saw Code 13 play the same show as the promise ring. weird out there.
