Reading this thread from the beginning, it really hit me how many people have moved on, passed away, or have gone into "lurk" mode. Or in some cases just changed their screen name.

Alex don't take offense to this but you lost alot of weight. Good job man, did you just change your diet, get a gym membership, or are just completely broke from buying too much kaiju?

I've lost close to about 150 lbs since the first photo to the second. I'll get around to the thread eventually. I figured we could all use some exercise advise.

Very fresh meat here. Name's Greg and Ive been collecting things all my life (cards, comics, transformers,etc.). Got heavily back into toys a few years back. Mostly western stuff and whatever caught my eye. Came over here from the kr boards looking for itokin and mf type figs and found I enjoy this scene and toy style a lot more than I thought. So many different things to look at and try to process through. Been minding my business and more lurking than posting, trying not to step on toes and make my time here harder than it should be. I have thick skin so you can still bust balls if need be..I won't cry or run away.

Hi, my name is Aldo and I live in Mexico City. Well, should I say born and raised in Mexico City.
I think I stumbled into SB looking for BXH stuff and info, didn't really know Kaiju before that.
Now Japanese vinyl and kaiju have grown in me and I can't leave it now. I'm a die hard collector since I can remember. All kinds of shit I've collected: caps, coins, comics, cds, pens, soccer tshirts, toys, you name it.
I've loved toys since I was a little boy, always felt like I didn't have enough and since I've had my own money have not stopped buying. I've only known jvinyl and kaiju for a short time but I'll make my best effort to catch up!
It's nice to have this forum since I feel kaiju is not very popular in Mexico, so there's not a lot of people to talk about it, or trade or whatever.
So I'll see you around.

Hello, I'm Tania. I've been collecting Kaiju since the 1990s, most of it in the form of my favorite turtle, Gamera. I wasn't an avid collector; picking up a few things here and there and only if I could justify the expense. Collecting took a backseat for a few years until 2007 with release of the red RxH Fortune Cat. I haven't stopped since then.

When I'm not obsessing over sofubi I'm an avid gamer (although that's slowed down considerably), devourer of books, and cinephile.

Anyway, It's nice to be here.

As much as I like Fortune Cats, they're very low on my list. In all my time spent collecting I only have four. That's probably a good thing seeing how many have been and continue to be released. Although it would be interesting to see someone devote an entire wall, or room, dedicated to displaying the cat in all its versions.

what kind of films are you into?

My tastes are eclectic and I will watch almost everything at least once. I have favorites in every genre. Some of my favorite types of films are Pre-code Hollywood, Musicals (not necessarily Musical Theatre), Horror (almost all sub-genres), Science Fiction, Comedy, Giallo, Film Noir, some War, Action, International, Cult, Exploitation, Zombie, Drama, Fantasy, Gangster, ETC. The writing is paramount to a good film but I'll love a movie for any number of stupid reasons. Yeah, I've never been able to create my own definitive top 10 list.

My name is Erich, I'm new to skullbrain, but I put in my time over at the KR boards and more recently I've been a member over at theartcollectors.com (anyone else over there?) I'm erichunpro on all the boards, though, just trying to stay consistent.

Here's a saucy little pic way too early in the morning of me in my living room about a year or so back.



My collection is a mix of art, western vinyl, and more recently diving a bit deeper into this wonderful little niche. I've been skateboarding 23+ years, steeped in the 90s hardcore/DIY scene, and that very much informs my collecting habits. I'm currently on a GID kick, although that and halloween-themed figures tend to be what I pick up most.

I started collecting western around 2002 or so when I found out a college buddy (you all might know him as FILTH) designed a few [expletive deleted]. I learned about KidRobot, and then it just went downhill from there. Thanks, Luke, totally appreciate it. ;^)

I guess I've never properly introduced myself on here, so here it goes.

My name is Aldo, I'm 28 and I currently live in Greenwood, Indiana with my wife, kids and dogs.


I've only been picking up Japanese toys (Secret Base) for just under 2 years now but I've been collecting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys on and off since 8 years old. I've always pretty much been into just one kind/company of toy at a time (before TMNT was G.I. Joe). Secret Base (especially the fight figures) has been the only company to really catch my full attention since TMNT.


Before Indiana, I lived in South Florida which is pretty much the best place on earth in my opinion, where I plan to move to in the near future. 

Currently I'm a tattoo apprentice and on the side I sell shirts with ugly monsters on them. Before that I toured full time in a band called Remembering Never and a band called Bishop. I took a break from touring for a long while to do the family thing.
