There's a new Hobo in town
Looks like Arbito finally resculpted the Hobo. Sorry if this better belongs in the resin section.

Re: There's a new Hobo in town
Hmmm. Not my thing. But I prefer the old one. I like the roughness, the larger feet, more detailed feather and the small touches like the stitching on the headband.

Re: There's a new Hobo in town
The new one is definitely more cartoony. I'd prefer to have the old one, but I might have to get this one until I can find an old one.

It really doesn't look like resin. I'm not sure yet if I like it...

Looks more like a production piece/version than a resin resculpt. Interesting.

Cool that the headband comes off. Are the arms still magnetic?

Re: There's a new Hobo in town
I really like the new one better, it's a much cleaner simplified sculpt. I get that some of the charm with resin is it's roughness, or subtle handmade qualities but the new sculpt looks perfect and so clean. The cartoony feel is actually enhanced by this and the whole thing looks very rubbery or squishy, even though I know it isn't.

That would make this one totally blow away the original.

Is anyone else bothered by the toenails not being painted?

Re: There's a new Hobo in town
Really beautiful. Reminds me some the multiple color figs i had in Germany as a kid where they were Indians and cowboys with different colored cast plastic parts and you could take them apart.
Arbito has the best taste in color and form out of anyone on the face of the earth. Blows my mind every damn time. Light years ahead.

Re: There's a new Hobo in town
I agree on the unpainted tonails. And I really like the new sculpt. I'm a big fan of really simple, clean work and while the first version was really cool, this second version appeals to me even more.

Am I the only one who thinks it looks better unpainted?

Re: There's a new Hobo in town
I preordered mine The paint really did it for me. Wouldn't mind finding an old one still.

Re: There's a new Hobo in town
the only toy thing I did on vacation was click my way through the order process for one of these. I got him today and he rules! Way nicer than the 1st version in my opinion.
