Mm, EP Mirrorman minis. I need more of those.

@shiverbones- Think you are referring to Beacon from Return of Ultraman.

On that note, that is lot of the clear Lotte Popys. (Lot of Lotte?) Excluding the clear hero toys, those must be some of the first clear kaiju vinyls made.

Post Re: Bullmark + Marusan collections
As far as I know, the popy clears are some of the earliest (yes, they are the Lotte premiums), but there were the popy clear cyborg vinyls, as well as a Takutoku Iron King clear vinyl, all of the 12" bullmark cyborg vinyls (Godman, triple fighter, ultra taro, etc.), the bullmark clear triple fighter mini vinyls, plus a bunch of clear bootlegs (kikaida, etc.). I bet I am forgetting a couple as well. Which came first? My guess is the Bullmarks, but that could be incorrect.

Its a little too pretty, looks like you might have a 91 Bandai re-issue there Firedragon.

Btw....those of you who wish to know about my Bullmark Red King's vintage status, I sincerely doubt that it is a B-Club figure. It does not have any printed-on Japanese lettering on the soles of the feet like another figure that I have. Perhaps this picture can answer some of your questions. Please let me know what you think and thank you. :D

Post Re: Bullmark + Marusan collections
The 1991 Bandai reissues didn't have black lettering on the feet - that was something B-Club didn't start adding until the second wave of Bullmark reissues in the late 90's/early 00's. Instead there was a small, white sticker on the bottom of the 1/2 dozen or so '91 standard size reissues which is often removed.

The color doesn't look correct to me for a vintage Red King. And given that these are now almost 20 years old, even the reissues have developed a patina which can make them look like the originals from the 70's. I can't say for sure without checking some reference books I have that show side-by-side comparisons between the vintage and '91 reissues (kanegon and Zetton, among others, are included in that set with paint jobs very close to the originals).

Maybe someone else with more expertise can nail it down for sure.

These photos are from an auction that recently ended. Comparing these to FireDragon's RedKing, I still can not tell for sure. It always seemed to me that the 1991 reissues had a heavier-handed spray application especially on the oversprays. You can really see that in the Kazunori Saito books that ElvisFromHell is referring to.

This is the vintage Redking
Image
He is cast is yellow with just the blue spray on the belly.
The version you have seems to have a total body spray in gold then the blue spray over that.
Hope this helps.

There is at least one vintage Red King with gold spray, though the base vinyl is flesh colored.

If you take a look at the Red King page at the Toy Museum site you can see four different variants. A couple do have gold spray but not to this extent or base color. It would be pretty convenient if all reissues had a black バンダイ stamp on the bottom, but as Elvis says thats not the case.

Hmmmmmmm....I am confused here. :? I have bought that Red King from someone who I have dealt with for years and picked up other vintage figures from him. It is possible that he just didn't know what it was. Do I definitely have a reissue? I don't want to tell him that I do if it is not so. Perhaps he would get me a replacement or something...but I really don't know. It never gets any easier when it comes to collecting these things...does it?

While the bulk of these are not vintage (only 2 are probably considered vintage), it is one of my favorite sculpts. Two are customs, and I have 3 unpainted M1 Baragons that I didn't include (red, brown, blue-green). How can you not love this guy!!
Thanks to all that helped me get these wonderful, happy looking fellas :)
