Holy shit! Size really does make a difference! I liked this, but not enough to buy it - but seeing it next to the Tonneran, I really want one now.
(And no, I don't believe there's a GID Tonneran.)

i think most of his designs translate better in glow vinyl. naris style is just that much more fabulously ridiculous when it's illuminating on your shelf

Anyone see these on the blog. Clear green vinyl, pretty awesome but One oil shock is big enough for my shelf. I'll have to pick a favorite. :/

Oh! those are nice!
I always jump on the first new release then end up liking the next releases better. I like that little bit of purple in the first one. Would like to have seen more of it. If all the red were replaced with that purple it would be killer.
Would like to see Nari move into the secondary colors a little more or at least different shades/tones of the red, blue, green, and yellow spectrum that seems to be his trademark.

I am thinking the same thing...maybe ill pick up another and see which one I enjoy more in person

The clear green is great! It makes me think the hard claws and flippers were formed out of sea glass when the Oil Shock was forming.

Agreed - that's why I have been holding off lately for the clear & GID releases.

I'm usually also a sucker for clears & GID (who isn't?), but I feel Nari's latest characters (maybe with exception of the Oil Shock) work better on solids. I prefer the flesh & orange Tonnerans because it's an earth monster, so in that case the glitter for example just doesn't make sense to me... Same with the King Smog - I'm not a big fan of the light grey, because I think Nari's signature colors just don't work on the sculpt as well as the wonderfully sinister paintjob on the dark grey version.

No decision for me. This version looks so good without paint. It's unpainted all the way.

Great drawing as always - but not sure about this one in toy form....

The wings (and arm colors) immediately make me think of Mazinga, which is not a bad thing at all. I'm not so sure about the eye size / placement. If the trunk is a separate piece and articulated, I think that would be very nice. Really excited to see this guy in vinyl form as I could see it being the first Elegab I've bought since the rainbow clear Shuttlegon.

I'm seeing Hipporito and Eyezon having a kid. Please no nerd lectures about Hipporito being a sexless alien.... I know, I know.

Looks like another great sculpt by Nair-san. The body does look like chocolate and crispies over a potatoe but that's cool. Thought the eye placement is spot on. Love it that it looks like some cool shades.

Again a mix of kaiju and robot which I can't resist. The appendage at the back would be really cool if its articulated. That would make this an 8-parts articulated kaiju. AWESOME

It's lacking the crazy eyes and mouth that works so well on Elegab characters. I will wait and see, though.
