I am digging the purple Evil. Not sure what is going on with the 1 with the red eye. Liking the minimal spray but wonder if there is anything more to it.

I've been reflecting on my RxH collecting a lot lately after making a couple big scores, and I'm curious what other people have really been doing. Are the Chaos guys still chasing every Chaos? Fans of other sculpts? I spent a lot of time looking at my collection when I was home a couple weeks ago, and it sort of looks 'good' to me. There's like four or five figures I'd still like to track down, and I'm still interested to see what else comes out for the Adult line, as well as the new guy, but otherwise my setup seems sort of 'done'. I mean, I could grab more Chaoses, but I like the color distribution I have now, and am not really sure what another could add... I scored the SuFest blue/green one, which rounds out my colors very nicely (I like blues and greens). I will probably grab the purple O-bat if I can find it to go with my green Walder one, but then that's plenty of O-bats for me... I could almost get rid of one. I have a shelf of 'definitive' versions of all the other sculpts, and a little spillover section of others that I like, like the yellow set and a couple more Bigaros, but even a couple of those could probably go... some of the micro run figures have been awesome, but my enthusiasm for them has pretty much waned... I can live without them. I'm still very curious to see what other Adult figures come out of the US venture, but that's sorta... it.

I'm pretty content with my shelf as well but my collection is a concentration on Evils and a spattering of most of the other sculpts except for the ones I really don't care for. I'm always looking for more Evils especially some of the classics (ME 5, 6, 7) but all in all I'd have to say I'm happy with my setup. I've also grown quite fond of the Oni so 1 or 2 of the original Oni's(MO 2,3,4) could definitely complement the shelf.

Minis are where it's at. The Skull Toy and Refreshment colabs have been cool. I hope to see more minis popping up on the US site.
The thing about the minis is if you just have a few, they don't display strongly. You have to make the investment to get a sizable grouping.

when it comes to collecting RxH these days, I've slowed down. I really like variety in sculpts, vinyl colors, and color patterns. I just can't afford do everything.

I still haven't tried the adult sculpts--not sure if I ever will. I guess I'm still in love with the six-inch and mini stuff--the stuff from my collecting hey-days. oh, and shintosans are great too. (looking for the brown version, btw).

Ha! This is why I love Real Head... I go and complain about being a little spent, bit then that new green Chaos looks neat. I wish the photo was better though, as it's apparently on smokey vinyl.

I know nothing about the beast but yeah, it looks like a major chunk of vinyl for $99!

SAndy...the Beast is huge. I'd get one but it's such a shelf hog.

Clear purple is nice. Not a huge fan of the paint jobs.

I can hardly tell what's going on with them. I love Lulubell and all but man sometimes I'll pass on stuff because it looks bad in a pic then regret it because it rules. It's a tough leap of faith sometimes. I like them all but the Chaos. Has a "bad custom" feel to it, at least in that pic.

Yes! Luke and Amy we love you both dearly but you gotta do something about these pics.
Fortunately I'm going to Designer Con so hopefully I'll get to see before I purchase.

I've gotta agree with you on this one. I like the colors on that green Chaos, but past that I really can't tell what's going on.

I've only been collecting RxH about a year or so and find myself hankering after older releases like the Mutant Head, Gatchigon and Evil - being a newbie i missed all the classic stuff first time round. I have just ordered the first colorway of the Hone Borg for example (he looks awesome). I would love more versions of the Oni Head to go with my MO-03 Clear Blue and i'm always on the look out for a good Bigaroid.

For me its always choosing between the instant-likes and releases that grow on me after time . . . i don't have the money for everything.

Most of the new releases i like are Mini (Like the Hone Suke) - i just can't get into the newer action figure size stuff at all. Even though there is alot of exciting stuff happening in that area it's just not for me (so far . . . . . unless its GID of course)

no it's a little different. they look very close, but the blueberry version's vinyl is a little more "gummy" looking. This version looks a little more pastel if that makes sense. maybe Mori wanted the same color vinyl for both but went to different companies...? just talking.

anyway, both are great.

I agree with your observation. Lulubell needs to invest in a camera that can do decent macro. Often times Nate and I have to look at a pic from them several times to figure out if it's just the lighting or there's more spray work than we can see.

I think they're cell phone shots from Luke in Japan, right? Which I understand wouldn't be that good of a shot (from a gent who almost only uses a cell phone camera and sucks ) I can't cry too much, I understand they need to relay the info as fast as possible, it's just a tough call sometimes. When I gotta drop $50+ on something I don't like feeling iffy. BUT I've jumped and it's been worth it in the past, so it's generally not bad. Lulubell's awesome though, once they get the toys in hand they get better shots. But I'm a baby, I like multiple angles

I generally jump in with blind faith that it'll be cool . . . so far so good!

Its pretty clear what the paints are on the releases. no?
