 Re: Cronic Collections
Professional pics as always If my memory is correct, this new toy would be one of the One up exclusive items for their anniversary, however, it has never been happened. Or am I wrong?

TULKU wrote: What is that yellow Cronic sculpt above (that Jay posted) called ? It's called "Impera Jr./インペラ Jr.". This sculpt was made for the sofvi project by Artstom Co. Ltd in 2008 only and I think it's not in regular series/line of cronic.

 Re: Cronic Collections
Do "chronic" toys even reach the public these days or are they directly sold to people via some sort of mailing list?
I haven't seen any chronic solicitations in a long time. It sort of bums me out that these aren't that obtainable.

 Re: Cronic Collections
Thanks Kaz, I recently got an 'Impera Jr.' in a group from an Art Storm (2008, Super Festival 46 ) mini release collaboration. Searching the internet I just found a great photo of them on flicker: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ilanena/2340148410/ The 'Impera Jr.' is my favorite sculpt of the group, I hope Cronic and or Art Storm releases a larger version. Edit: Cronic and or Art Storm

I haven't seen any chronic solicitations in a long time. It sort of bums me out that these aren't that obtainable. In 2009, Cronic seemed to focus on custom works and these 1-off items were sold to fans via mailing list mainly or only. However, Cronic produced MANY 1-off items and I sometimes find unknown 1-off with surprised at second market like this. In 2010, Cronic stop their activity and no one can reach them now + The items we received were offered a year ago. I also think Cronic has lost their fans a lot because of their "chronic" attitude. I hope they just take a rest and will come back soon. TULKU wrote: Thanks Kaz, I recently got an 'Impera Jr.' in a group from an Art Storm (2008, Super Festival 46 ) mini release collaboration. Re: Cronic Collections
First Cronic that I've bought in maybe 2 years. Forgot how much I like the Maverasu design. I can't figure out where this one came from. I've seen it in one of Jay's photos. Jay- you remember? The base is clear red. One of the Black Parade pieces from the first exhibit. Too bad the original owner didn't keep the numbered tag... it was 20-something. Choosing my words carefully, I think I would say the first set of Black Parade pieces are the pinnacle of Cronic's work. They pull together all of his distinctive techniques from past releases, prior to the wilder stuff that is coming out these days. The base vinyl seems to be the same blue-green from the SDCC 2008 Zyurai. Glow kind of sucks. But neat that it is there nonetheless.

I think this came out around 2008, I am not sure since I did not see a single Cronic toy that came out last year. Andy is our in house Cronic authority, maybe he has more accurate facts on this. It has a matching Zyurai, a Dorome, a Nougaki and a Dorogami, as I recall.

I had a luck to get some weaponed custom stuffs, I want to see and collect more color-combo/tech custom pieces. Your pictures are also done in professional way and so coool, I think jcat> You seem to add new custom Mav to your collection Anyway, I think I can say you're one of the best collector of Cronic custom figures. I don't remember how many time I wrote this here but again :Your pictures are ALWAYS cool!

On the left side of this pic, are the Dorome and the Zyurai marbled green on red vinyl. I think I'm missing a couple.

 Re: Cronic Collections
Thanks guys. Appreciate the info, Jay. I remember seeing the Dorome and Zyurai after one of the shows- think they were all released around summer 2008.
The mix of old and new style Cronic pinstriping in that photo is great to see.

 Re: Cronic Collections
Nougaki updated shots.... I do still love 'em! It's unfortunate that Cronics lost its following in the past, recent years, due to maybe several reasons. Back in the day, when a very limited Cronic piece shows up at the bst, it would be picked up in a snap! Now, this Cronic X NerdOne collab. piece, which used to be one of the most coveted Cronic drops, it would sit eventually for weeks. Now, I am still missing out on the black with a GID (?) resin head, anyone?

 Re: Cronic Collections
I will always love the Mavs and Naoki is truly a amazing painter. Would love to see him make a comeback. Although they weren't my thing, it was interesting that the last wave was all bloody and war torn, almost like it was their final fight before it all ended.

 Re: Cronic Collections
always been a fan of the nougaki,,the only cronic i have ever collected...now if i only had the foresight to know what they would sell for from late 2008 onwards,,,i wouldn't have spent all the time & cash chasing them,,,oh well,,no biggie...i still love my nougaki collection to bits!!
still need that black GID nerd one collab too jay,,really surprised that none have surfaced over the years as it was a run of 15...
i have faith a couple black GIDs will surface one day & we will both be happy campers...

 Re: Cronic Collections
So, Cronic collectors are willing to part with their clear red with pink head skull--but couldn't part with their gid black? Both are limited to 15. I know only two on the boards have the gid black for sure---and I'm pretty certain they won't let go..

 Re: Cronic Collections
I recall seeing one or two blacks come up when I was hunting like crazy for the pink...maybe I'm mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I saw one somewhere a few years ago.
