 Re: Vegan vegetarian diet help
Thanks for all the great suggestions ! I totally forgot about Claires. I knew about the place as it's only blocks away from me, but never was really interested. I think I will try one thing at a time to see what I like and asleasy be able to create 1 full days menu at home. One step at a time

Had firm tofu with scallions and brown rice in a brown garlic sauce for dinner tonight and it was pretty good

 Re: Vegan vegetarian diet help
If you need a quick & dirty meat/jerky fix, I suggest Primal Strips BAM! Sure, it's not the most nutritionally complete superfood, but it does have a nice chewy texture... and I'm fairly certain it's better for you than chewing on some random processed animal parts a la Slim Jim, etc. Thai peanut is my favorite! (warning: may cause hot breaths) Texas BBQ, not so much

These look amazing! Years of being vegetarian and jerky has never crossed my mind as an option, but I would love to try these. meanmistert wrote: If you need a quick & dirty meat/jerky fix, I suggest Primal Strips BAM! You'll love it, everything on the menu is delicious. I usually get the California or Bistro burgers... but their options are almost endless. Rich wrote: I totally forgot about Claires. Re: Vegan vegetarian diet help
I've tried a few different types of veg jerky (can't think of brands off hand, but I know I haven't had Primal Strips) and the biggest factor sometimes is texture. So if you don't like one kind, try another. You'll eventually hit something you like.

I love Stonewall's Jerquee. Tons of flavors and really chewy. Not really for everyone though.
