Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread Major, major grail arrived this week:    Made in China for Banpresto, 2004; 5" tall; hands and tail cast in softer, rubbery PVC; apparently sold (though the foot is stamped "NOT FOR SALE") only in a large blister-carded pack of three figures (the other two were Ultraman and Ultra Seven); flat-out amazing, uniquely peculiar sculpt. I hunted this one for a long while (they rarely pop up on YJA) and I have to say I'm thrilled with it in person; it's on my short list of all-time fave Gara-sculpts, for sure.

They have a philosophy that art should be accessible to everyone, and I totally appreciate it. Plus any info that goes with the art, is always interesting, and well thought out. I wish they would publish some books on toys, and lowbrow art.
