nine hundred pounds of money! ( almost $1,400 US)

I hope the other two were bought by actual fans and not commodities brokers

I was thinking Chapel, particularly Jae Lee's rendering

Those Biters are insane to the next level - may not have been Chapel inspired but I'd like to believe it was since he is such a bad ass character!

Sorry the self-promotion, but this is an article/database that I created for all Gatchigon releases to date:

http://robotxmonster.blogspot.com/2012/01/realxhead-gatchigon.html#more

Thought some of the newer fans might find it interesting (if you like Gatchigon). If anyone has photos of the missing releases and would be willing to let me use your photos, please let me know. (You can also sell them to me directly, if you'd like :D)

Daniel you don't have to apologize for promoting your blog. It's an amazingly informative, detailed and well-curated resource. I only have the Hobby Complex Gatchigon but love it ... wasn't crazy about the sculpt before that release. Now every time I see bamboo shoots in Asian markets I think of the mini-Gatchi. :-)

Yes! Gatchigon is an acquired taste.

Thanks for the share Daniel.

All these years and figures later, it's hard to picture that good old Bigaro wasn't well-received by all at first. I'm not sure that Ginga-R or Hone Borg ever really caught fire in a big way, and Shintosan's popularity has been very slow to grow. I think the thing with the less-popular RxH sculpts is that you need to have them "in person" to really get it.

I've always gone for the outsider stuff. Something about not being the most popular makes me take a closer look. Guess that's why I have every Hone Borg release, barring prototypes. Would shit-a-brick to see a new Hone Borg release in some of the new vibrant colors Mori has been putting out lately.

Sick new sculpt...sword arm results in a certain lack of visual balance for the fig though.

Yes, thanks for posting the link to your blog. I've visted many times whilst searching for reference and info on past RXH releases. It's such an invaluable resource. Thank you and keep up the great work.

Over the past year I have gained a greater appreciation for Gatchigon and some of the more quirkier sculpts. Nice to see them given the love they deserve on your blog.

IMHO one should never be done drooling over this collab. Black and gold is majesty. Skull toys head is a classic.

That would be most awesome! Really dig the Honeborg...AND the Vadergrow--after the 4 OG sculpts. :D

The new Mirock parts have beautiful sculpts, but they don't really fit that well with the body. It's like a shoe that looks great on a shelf, but weird when you put it on.

Thanks for the nice comments on my blog article; I've increasingly felt the need to preserve those bits of trivia and info scattered about the boards and elsewhere as time passes and older collectors move on or forget. Hone Borg is definitely my no. 2 favorite.
