Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
revisiting Starcraft as my journey through SC2 was cut short when I accidentally destroyed the only machine I have capable of playing it at all. never beat the first one without cheating when I was a kid I don't think.
revisiting LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete for the same reason (used a gameshark on one particular boss because I was a lazy brat). also, LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue is amazing, so much better than the first, but I've played that through enough times (and without cheats) that I felt I should definitely do the first properly first before another play.

Playing at Reckoning on PS3... I quite like it. Has anyone here picked up a PSVita?

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I'm debating on picking up a Vita, or waiting till the price drops. The main sell for me is the new Lumines. I clocked in HOURS upon hours with the first one on the PSP launch. and this one, according to reviews, sounds like its recaptures that experience.

I'm thinking of picking one up for the upcoming MGS collection... would love to have them on a HD handheld. Tried Dynasty Warriors Next at a friend's place, looked great, especially that small.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
Oh yeah, and I would load it up with Metal Gear too. Plus Ridge Racer and Wipeout are also great time-wasters. Man, again, might wait for price drop but I am a Sony-whore and will be suckered in soon.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
the vita is a great system. i would recommend waiting though. there arent that many good games on it right now so its kind of a waste. right now my vita is only being used for netflix and UMVC3.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
UMVC3 looked mindblowing, so did BlazBlue. Both incredibly sharp.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I just got back from a lunch break at the mall. Checked out the PS Vita and played the Wipeout demo. Holy cow. The screen is HUGE and CRYSTAL clear, and the graphics are almost distracting because they look so good. Its literally almost a Portable PS3. Or PS2.5. Its light, and the buttons are slick, along with the sticks. Touchscreen is smooth, and its a bit bigger than the original PSP. I'm interested, but at the same time, will wait for price drop. I think the Vita is incredible, but it looks like it could fall victim of not having a big library of games. We'll see...

Yes, the probable grandaddy of the Biohazard series - so good. It wasn't until recent times that an English translation of the game was made available! It's very unforgiving, if a character dies, they are gone for good. No retry or re-load from checkpoint - RFSO!

Don't know if I should grab sfXt or MLB 2012 tomorrow. Either way I'd get the other next week.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I'm playing Devil Survivor on the DS again just to see if it's worth buying the 3DS version. Other than that, everything else is at a standstill.
I have been constantly debating about the 3DS and the Vita. In an ideal world I'd like to get both right this second. But there's nothing worth buying on the Vita and launch titles are notoriously rushed. I'm still holding out for a 3DS redesign or another price drop. I just want something new. Maybe it's time to finally get a new computer.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
Just had to run an errand at Target, and they had an 3DS with the new Mario for play. I FINALLY got to check it out, and at first I was excited. Then I became disappointed. The 3D effect is neat, but a GIMMICK at best. It reminded me of seeing The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D, and I walked out halfway through because I felt like it was no different, looked like I was watching it through a View-Master toy or fishtank, and I've seen the movie a million times. Same way I felt about this. The screen size was decent, and the handheld felt nice, but all in all, it felt like a regular DS with a 3D Viewfinder mode. It kind of felt unnecessary. I almost rather a portable VirtualBoy than this. I actually walked away kind of pissed off. Though, I remember the jaw-dropping graphics and quality for the Vita demo with Uncharted, and I think my decision has been made for handhelds. Either way for a new redesign or a giant price drop, and as for the Vita, wait for some more games and a price drop. Either way, wait.
