I've been collecting japanese toys for almost twenty years, and never heard of you until recently, yet you try to come across like you're Mr. Supercollector. Spending lots of money doesn't make you a collector, it just makes you a chump. Maybe you should take some of that 20K toy budget and spend it on some therapy instead.

Quote: This is our first featured member Laurent Trapp from France. hi Matt, what can i say... i'm not collecting kaiju since long time, i'm starting to collect matango ( it's one of my favorite with many others but i love very much matango, the movie are excellent) i love collect : tiki mugs, ventriloquist dolls, finks and kaiju since my enfance i got a real passion for movie monsters, vintage science fiction movies, bmovie and russ meyer movie ( of course)... when i discovered kaiju i be crazy . in kaiju this is all what i love : monster, a little bit of vintage style, colors etc... in art i love very much the works of todd schorr, ryan heshka, dave burke and more.. ( for info : very soon a martian fink ceramiq mug will be available it's a collaboration: dave burke/munktiki ) at the moment i'm learning the sculpture and modeling , i want to make kaijus, i got somes ideas that i want to realized. i hope you 'll know a little bit more about me. it's difficult for me because my english are not very very good!! best, laurent So the guy who flipped the Mishka Bootleg, a Mazza, and a Draki (the draki pissed me off the most, not because I wanted it, but because he sold the Omake separately) did a release with Muntiki? He's also fucking up bosses with MK left and right, and came here a couple weeks ago, trade baiting someone with his Gorilla-Ju, for a nag. I believe this was the first person I mentioned, and the only reason I bring it up again, is to lay down proof that TrappX (ebay name) and Laurent, are one and the same. They're both from France, and Trappx is selling Laurents customs = Same guy. P.S. No bad feelings toward Muntiki are implied. I love his work, but I'd watch out because before you know it, your ceramics, are going to be lining someone else's pocket with money.

Re: oust the flipper
kind of weird seeing a Uamou fortune cat I sold a new member here on the bay for roughly 3x what he paid me.
obviously this is far south of nag / mishka / gorilla ju territory, but still...

The gods have spoken. And they recently took the ban hammer down hard, so I doubt the "No" will ever turn to a "Yes." Parka wrote: No.

Re: oust the flipper
a while back I bought a GID Maza for $1350.
obviously that's too god damn much.
I never, NEVER expected to make back what I paid.
but also asking for retail-like price seems ridiculous.
so, what do?

Re: oust the flipper
Slightly off topic, kind of along the same vein but what do you call guys on this forum who think they're pretty hot shit who contact you in PMs to tell you that although you claimed a toy in the sale thread because that's what the instructions say to do and the seller is currently away for the weekend they're just contacting you to tell you that "Ha ha sucked in, I'll be getting that toy because that guy is my friend and he'll sell it to me regardless." Isn't there a name for those guys too? That's worse then flippers because your stupid enough to buy from the flippers thats your problem, these guys are basically contacting me to say "Hi, I'm a shithead and I thought I'd PM you to tell you." That's happened to me here from guys fairly recently...and not new guys, not even rare toys.
Way worse than flipping. What is that.....I wanted to b-itch about it like a bitchy b-itch.

And Shithead seems to equally fit the description.

Sorry you had some issues, I feel slightly responsible for getting him into toys. He's been a great long time customer of mine, no flipping so far. edit: oh and not that it matters since I cant bare to part with much of anything, but my ebay handle is "stuckieshaft"

There would be no flipping if people didn't pay over retail. Lets out the people causing people to flip toys.
