That is not an amazing thing, but what is amazing is that Senheisser is still manufacturing pads for a 'vintage' product (I think these HD-424 came out in the mid-70's & have not been available for at least 25 years). They sound great & comfortable, but the foam pads rot. Bless those Germans for not believing that anything over 6 months old belongs in the land fill! And they were cheap!
