 Re: netflix instant thread.
I thought someone already mentioned Lilyhammer but I couldn't find the post. its a netflix original series. Basically you have Steven Van Zandt as a mob underboss who relocates to Norway. Starts off as a fish out of water type story and then eventually he has the whole town in his pocket as the past catches up with him.

Peep Show was pretty good... Tim & Eric's billion dollar movie was way better than expected, but that might not be saying much.

I watched all of Peep Show a few years ago. It is one of the few things I've ever had to turn off and come back to later for being so embarrassed and uncomfortable while alone. I love mitchell and webb. Skum wrote: Peep Show was pretty good... Tim & Eric's billion dollar movie was way better than expected, but that might not be saying much.

Resurrect Dead: Mystery of Toynbee Tiles
I watched this because I thought it was a documentary about people messing around with the idea of resurrection (I had never heard of the tiles), but it was really, really good. Watch it if you like interesting documentaries in the least.

I noticed that they added Battle Royale and Battle Royale II...I'd skip II, but the first one is awesome!

 Re: netflix instant thread.
BRII had some good spots, but it suffered from poor editing. With a proper edit it could be a decent film. Not as good as the original, obviously, but decent.

I don't think anyone mentioned, but in case you missed it, Drive is on Instant now. I definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it.
Also, since Drive is about a Driver, I'll also recommend Top Gear if you guys don't already watch it. It might be the funniest show I've ever watched.

 Re: netflix instant thread.
I see that one of my favorite movies of the past few years - Goemon - is now available on instant streaming. Check it... (though streaming usually doesn't give you the option of watching subtitled versions, does it?) http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Goemo ... id=2361637

 Re: netflix instant thread.
Streaming is weird with subtitles, some titles you would never expect are subtitled and some are dubbed. It's a total crapshoot, I'm sure it has something to do with who licenses and blah blah blah.

 Re: netflix instant thread.
I watched Hellraiser 3 with subtitles last night (only because the sound fluctuates so much between being really loud and whispering, and I hate having my TV super loud) and they were enormous, took up probably 1/4 of the screen. Count wrote: haha, just noticed this now, yeah it's awesome! I was going to give you grief for posting without reading the numerous posts above yours, but decided against it. The more people that see that documentary, the better. Love shit like that.

 Re: netflix instant thread.
for fans of documentaries, I watched Absinthe and This Film Is Not Yet Rated today... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1590802/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0493459/Absinthe covers the history of the distilled herbal spirit through its ban in the early 1900s to the re-emergence in the 90s and the eventual reverse engineering of 100 year old bottles to form the modern iteration. Much of the film is in French for those with an aversion to reading subtitles. This Film Is Not Yet Rated attempts to put a spot light on how the MPAA inconsistently rates films and exposes board members through private investigation. It also shows how pointless the appeals process is for film makers who attempt to challenge the rating system and ultimately how the MPAA caters to the 6 major US film studios instead of serving the public interest it is supposed to protect.

I noticed that they have added "I Spit on your Grave"...the original, not the remake
