On a more serious note, I am insta-folding on this one. I hate the prices but I fully understand. If any low class ghoul can turn around and resell these for a couple of thousand dollars I can see how the makers and designers might be interested in making a quarter of the market value at retail.

Damn. Tried and could not get down from SF tonight for this. If anyone picks me up one, I'll happily reimburse them for double the cost. Somehow I think the KR blunder may blow this release up more than the normal hype unfortunately.

James never even mentioned the item on KR and they wouldn't understand the aesthetic even if he did. I really doubt it will be an issue when even the SB crowd seems disenchanted.

- most people seeking help for sdcc were offering favors in return for favors (mostly) - not offering double for what they wanted

- offering to pay double for this toy is roughly 1000 give or take. you might as well buy it off of ebay.

- mishka or nag could see this thread (not that i care) and say "hey- some dude is willing to pay a grand for this toy" and there goes everyone elses market. i think this is what kevlo was getting at.

- james' actions on KR wont affect anything, i feel he was smartest of them all. im sure KR kids think these toys look like piles of shit and wont care about doing a favor because they collect other stuff.

now listen, it's one thing to reimburse someone for partial gas/travel/hotel/etc. money if they are doing some muling for you. that totally makes sense to me. but offering to of the actual item is entirely different.
