Possibly one of the least-liked characters in the sofubi scene but i love 'em for their total weirdness and the 'what the f**k is that?' factor.

Finally tracked down the mini Bear Model :)

haha - yeah, but most Yokai encyclopedias describe Nuppeppo as:
A blob of flesh with a hint of a face in the folds of fat . . . . . it never says 'like a giant walking cock'

I assume certain toy-makers had fun accentuating this resemblance . . . .
they must be regular attendees of the various fertility festivals they have in Japan every year.

The Japanese are into fertility! Apparently there is some myth/legend about procreating under the northern lights producing fortunate male children, so every winter there is a huge influx of Japanese tourism..

Yeah, there's an episode of 'Northern Exposure' where the town gets over-run with Japanese Tourists for that very reason . . . . :)

i got my SDCC loot today, after mildew180 was amazing enough to pic up multiple pieces for me (this is just the "relevant" stuff). so happy to finally have my first kaiju negora! but i have to brag for a sec because he went so above and beyond, he asked me my favorite artists that would be there, and got that awesome sketch from Josh for me. what a monster consolation prize for not being able to go myself, thanks again Jason...cheers

That is super-cool of mildew180 to do! And the sketch itself is indeed awesome. Is that an eyeball in the birdie's mouth? Love it!
