Arrgghhh this is the version I've always envisioned eventually being released, and hoped it would be a lottery. One off damn it! Oh well I can always stare at the pics.

There's no way in hell I'll be able to afford it at whatever ungodly price it will fetch. The pictures are good enough for me this time.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
First off, amazing piece.
It seems kinda odd to me though that he would continue to sell a few of these on auction sites from time to time. Everyone is going to see the crazy prices they sell for and then try to buy 1 to flip. This seems very much against his viewpoints on flipping toys.
I understand that this is a rare case for mostly 1 off or special versions of the gorillas and this is is just my opinion based on past releases and the viewpoints expressed in his blog posts. I in no way am telling him how to sell his toys.
All that said I'd love to own this guy(and many other versions), would never flip a gorilla, and understand this is a rare/special case.

I also think it is really weird for him to be selling in an auction. Also, we aren't supposed to be talking about active auctions right?

He's sold 2 others I can think of as auctions. Mecha bodies- Regular Gorilla heads. As far as "not talking about auctions" yeah, but uh, this would probably hit the same high ass price whether we talked about it or not. So meh. Right?

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
jeff is right those cyborg versions were 1 offs. really would like a run of those but i doubt it will happen. same goes for a soldier omake & female
it will sell & more likely than not it will be resold. at least if it goes for a bunch of monies hirota can make more dolls in the near future.
his runs gotta be at least 2-3K in cost per run so these 1 offs may help him offset some cost. in any case i hope more T-jyu & Destroyer come soon.
i know his runs will increase they have each time. it sucks when cool versions are unobtainable but just makes me thankful for waht i already got.
sad that sooooo many folks these days only value in these dolls is read $$$ not lotteries are just that, a chance to win big

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
1st cyborg gorilla ju was red. There were total of 3 of this variant. 2 were part of the red mecha gorilla ju lotto. The 3rd cyborg piece went up for sale as an auction from HS and sold for 200,000 yen + S&H.
2nd cyborg gorilla ju was blue. There were total of 2 of this variant. 1 was part of the blue mecha gorilla ju lotto. And the 2nd piece went up for auction from HS.
This info was per Hirota-san at the time of these auction sales. This new auction is a 1 off.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
He should just make a bunch of 1-offs, sell them for retail through his site, then watch auctions and he can 86 anyone from future sales whenever he sees a 1-off go up for sale.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Nothing against Hirota-san, but I do have to echo animator's thoughts. I don't have anything against him selling on YJA, and of course the one-off aspect is obviously key to consider, but it is without any doubt adding to the hype and demand around these figures.
Seeing as how the new MG2s are coming in, I am curious. They are numbered on the headers, but how about on the figures themselves? I am also wondering about the omake variations, if he is still trying to 'track' them this way. In any case, I am really sad I haven't won even one lottery, but seeing the folk(s) that do get them makes the taste that much more bitter.

All omake seem to be different, as far as I can tell.
