Re: Tiger Mask (early-type yellow phase 2)
Has anyone heard anything about a Skull Star being done in this same line?

There is a picture on Five Star's Blog with Skull Star. Also there is a certain store in the US with Red Mask and Lion Man, I'm not gonna name any names though Sorry for people that don't read the American Idols page Nakama Toys has some these two for sale.

I don't really get why they are reissuing these - the originals are fairly easy to find for almost the same price. Don't get me wrong - they are great figures but why spend money on this when you can get an original instead?

Because if you're like me, you're not really turned on by vintage toys. I like 'em minty fresh!
That Skull Star is PERFECT! I want it!!!

Re: Tiger Mask (early-type yellow phase 2)
I think the appeal is getting the toy exactly how it would have looked way back when. Plus I didn't know a lot of these guys even had capes and sashes.
I really hope they release a gorilla man. Since it's pretty much a toy of me haha

Re: Tiger Mask (early-type yellow phase 2)
Honestly, I think the capes, while a kind of nice addition, take away a lot from the figures. They are just overdone somehow. In terms of reissuing them, well obviously I am going to lean towards the OGs, but I did appreciate the ability to get Tiger Mask in great complete condition, but now that they seem to be doing the whole series, I can see where the appeal goes down. I am happy to take any vintage figures from you James, in place of new ones

Does anyone have any tips on getting those sashes on? They're pretty small and these figures have pretty large heads and arms.

Re: Tiger Mask (early-type yellow phase 2)
Giant size is sweet, but there are a few tweeks I would have done to the figure. His proportions just seem a bit off, even if they are trying to stay true to the originals. The arms are too short for sure, and he could use more stripes on his battle trunks. Still, a killer addition to the Medicom line, and something you would be hard pressed to find otherwise.
