Strange, they went sold out and disappeared from the site for a bit there.

that paint job looks pretty poor, I would like less vomity colors.
Grats to those who scored.

I don't know, I kinda like it. Reminds me of my vintage confetti melamine dishes, with a dash of Christmas decorations thrown in - classic 70s.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
Just so everyone doesn't have to go hunting through the whole thread again (as I did), here is the earlier wax test shot of Luke's astronaut. I really like the suit design, and that the pose is not just the standard one (even if there isn't any articulation on this one). It'll be interesting to see if the 'dead' version has the same suit as the human astronaut.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
I saw that jmrampage commented on lukes dino pic on instagram "more old molds? wheres this one from" or something like that. I'm wondering if this is true and if the astronauts are a new sculpt or not?

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
^^ You mean based off a vintage piece? That could be. Might also explain why he re-purposed one of the heads with the skeleton. I imagine Jon might've been referring to the dinosaur though, but I don't specifically recognise it from a vintage company. I'd still be over the moon with one, re-issue or original.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
Some of the first flavor monsters have been up on Lulu. The little strawberry guys. Not sure if it's technically Grody Shogun since it's a figure created by Truth. Haven't seen any discussion or mention of these guys on the board.

Nope - not 'based off,' but rather just new pulls from an long unused mold. Well, can't be sure of course, but I'd bet that Dino of Luke's is from an old mold that he bought. Can't say about the spaceman though. No matter - I'm going on the search for old molds - just as soon as I get back to Japan and have a free weekend! There must be plenty hanging around in some of the workshops.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
There were posts of the wax on FB just the other week...they looked like original sculpts to me. At least the heads that is. I think those spacemen are the tits. Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
It'd be nice if we saw a sculpt like the dude on the packaging, very cool.
No comment on the shades.
