Nice illustration! I think all the figures Shig has done are organic and it would be intresting to see this made.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
Making that mecha would just be a matter of a new arm, leg and head. Which is easier than making the whole thing from scratch.
It would be a nice addition to the line up.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
If he is mechanically rebuilt, Shig should give him a metal dong, or perhaps a screw mechanism to replace the parts he has long lost, don't you think?

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
A little too trendy for my taste. The original B.G. blew so many of us away with it's out of nowhere originality. In my opinion turning it into yet another mecha-nized toy just brings it closer to walking in step with the rest of the herd.

Alice stated on here a long time ago, the NagNagNag was basically a tribute figure to Dustman, and I recall comments when the first figure appeared along the lines of Bemon grew legs. Just saying... Are mecha toys more common, yes. But to me, robot toys are a big category just like monster toys, And design can be as new and strange as imagination allows, just like monster toys. And I guess they overlap and there lies mecha-nized toys. But You could also look at it like every non-mechanized monster that gets made is just another tired old monster adding to the thousands that already exist. I think regardless of monster/robot/cyborg/demon/beast/plant whatever category you play in, no matter how populated there is always room for a new twist.

So there were no Skullbrain winners for the birthday lottery? I was hoping I could at least be happy for someone if not myself!

Yes Joe, i am aware of the Dustman filiation and i agree with your argument. But sometimes, in the eye of one enthusiast or the other, the perpetual re-interpretation / re-combination of these basic forms produces "twists" that fail to produce any excitement or "lust to possess". Sometimes the line between something sounding off the alarms in my head and a flatline reaction is very fine. Although i don't feel much for this new interpretation or concept for the B.G. I find Coop's very similar refitting of the Gargantua to be absolutely excellent. A toy based on that design would instantly become Coop's best toy ever by a factor of 10.
