 Re: Stoner/Doom
Maybe it's a re-release on vinyl of Vol.1?

 Re: Stoner/Doom
That would work too! Although I never did get Blood Lust on vinyl - it's tough to spend $30 on one LP, especially if you also have to pay shipping on top of that. I finally found Astra's The Black Chord at a shop in town ($30), but they were out of Blood Lust. Why does it cost SO much money to ship an LP from England to the US???

 Re: Stoner/Doom
[grumble grumble grumble] Anybody have a DL link for Witchcraft's Legend? I hate when DL codes aren't included with LPs... (Also wouldn't mind a link for Graveyard's...)

Man, I'm all aboard the Om Advaitic Songs train! Previously my only experience with the band was Variations on a Theme, which I never really got into and so I just wrote them off. But after listening to their new album I might have to go back and give some of their other albums a listen!

Metal Blade‘s reissue of Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats‘ “Blood Lust” can be streamed online in full via Brooklynvegan.com. The effort will receive a proper North American release through the aforementioned label tomorrow, November 20th. You can check out the track “I’ll Cut You Down” below:

 Re: Stoner/Doom
I thought MBRecords generally did US releases for RARecords. Would much prefer a new release, but at least they could offer colored LPs. Unfortunately it just appears to be CDs. What's the point?

 Re: Stoner/Doom
I can see it being just for those who don't know who Uncle Acid is but know Metal Blade and may just buy it because of that?
When I worked at a record shop (that sucked and only carried CDs) we had tons of customers like that. "Oh I never heard of these dudes, but they're on this lable, I'll try it out."
I bet it has a big ass sticker "FOR FANS OF BLACK SABBATH/ RAINBOW/ ELECTRIC WIZARD" or some shit.

 Re: Stoner/Doom
Does obscure heavy 70s fit in this thread? Been hooked on Stray Dog lately, especially this tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWO9yE6AyHUIt's got a ZZ Top vibe to it, maybe cause they're a 3 piece heavy blues band from Texas. The double bass in the middle reminds me of Doctor Vine by the Big F. Speaking of heavy 70s though less obscure since they're part of the Deep Purple family tree....I never knew Greg Mishka sang for Warhorse. Not to be confused with the Doom band Warhorse from Mass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=t0u3SARuIPI

sunswitch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJly55dnO70&feature=player_embedded\ alittle strange watching a guy doing some heavy nodding with a tuba in his hands but this band has a really rad sound.

Advatic songs would have been great to hear live, depending on how much of if they played. I use it as preshow music at my theater.

 Re: Stoner/Doom
Just saw the newest High on Fire tour Lo-Pan Primate Goat Whore High on Fire What a fucking great show! Lo-Pan: amazing lead Kyuss style vocals, nice and heavy stoner riffs and a thundering Rickenbacker bass Primate: great old school hardcore grind mix. Kevin Sharp is a monster on the mic. They played a coupled black flag songs for good meassure. Goat Whore: powerful black thrash perfection. These guys are a live band for sure. High on Fire: first tour back from rehab and you could tell. This show made the 12th HOF show for me and was least animated and most sloppy I've seen Matt. They played 10,000 years the third song in. They should have blow up the building after that monster, first time I've ever heard that live, one of best tracks in the history of heavy music All in all amazing tour, I'm not sure how many dates are left of it, but if you can catch it do so. Also picked up the greatest beer coozie of all-time
