We need like sweet signet rings or pins like a "secret society" so we can idenitfy eachother, secretly ;)

That camo(?) nag with the cross eyes is my fav from that lot. I think it fits the sculpt/concept well

All part of the daily routine . . . in between polishing the pitchforks and making sure the torches are lit!

I think that's directed at me guys. I went to dinner with him Thursday night with some other dudes and I let him order a Presidente. I didn't tell him it was like drinking urine with alcohol.

Agreed. I'd rather have a large print of the header than a N3

Thanks dudes!
Most of the credit goes to Oniclub on this one.
He contacted me with those wicked drawings of haunted nags, and wanted to collab on some sort of Yokai themed header. I always wanted to do a yokai Nag header (still want a GID Nzombie ghost release!), so I said yes and worked some magic on the finish touches. Had a lot of fun with Oniclubs drawings and splashing some light, ghoulish colors into the drawings, and fitting it in with old woodblock drawings.
Felt good to do some old Nag fan header art again. Thanks Oniclub.

I really like the drawings and the colors, but I feel like the text could be stronger. The "Made in occupied Japan" text is perfect, but the "Nag Nag Nag" just feels kind of slapped-on

I agree. I think if the text was a bit more worn in and more fitting it would feel more natural. Old English style text is out of place.

4th, I know you can bang it out.

^ Yes on the letters it's JP not UK. I like what Fourth did with The splashing of " light, ghoulish colours" , i find it really brings Kieran's line drawings to life.

This all speaks to the utter insanity of the whole Nag busines : Kieran contacts Walt to collaborate on a header. So far, so good :) . For Nag Nag Nag (!?) without ever finding out what Nag Daddy S thinks about this.

He may: a) not give maggot's booger, b) love it to death, c) detest it with a passion, etc... Most likely we'll just never know, as S is not much inclined to answer mail from the peasant underclass.

I have no problem with S not answering his mail but it would be nice we could have an idea of his thoughts on fans creating a NNN fanzine that could serve as an outlet for the fan work of wackos such as Walt, Kieran and many others.

I really like the header guys! I agree about the font looking a little " slapped-on". I would also add that the NagBall's center eye looks to large and could've been a little more in proportion with the other two(Like the the toy). Just a thought and thanks for posting.

Glad everyone likes something from it! It was a fun process! On the Long neck nag to the right it was based on the rokurokubi in Japanese folklore. I admit it does look like a nag ball but it was actually supposed to be the new three eyes nag. I did actually do some art for the other side of the header card still sort of in progress. On the note of MR S I did actually message him showing him the image first to which he replied "good"

Funny everyone pointing out the text. That was actually the hardest part for me! I just couldn't find the right font or what to do with it. So yeah, "slapped on" is about right for what I did...

How about this. A little more gore, and a little more distressed. ;)

A bit too overpowering for the image I think. You guys spent all that time doing such great artwork, and a lot of it is covered up by the size and thickness with this font. Still great work of course, you know we are just being picky.

Works better for me...Especially if you were to fold the image in half and use as is. That way the full image would not be revealed until the thing was opened.

Oh wow, that is a great idea! Or even with the Nag Yokai cut out separate from the backing image. Giving it a pop-up effect.

Man, cheers to community creative critiques! You guys rock!

If I was not so rubbish at photoshop I would use a brush pen style font! Think Japanese caligraphy!
