RE: ungawa222 statement.... I, too, am looking forward to Pacific Rim. And hopefully it will be a hit and "At the mountains of madness" will be made as a result.... But Hollywood can be a fickle bunch ... a lot of suits with no brains. I mean, they pay for Battleship & John Carter, but no to ATMOM!? .... Also, regarding the "kaiju" surge that may happen ... I'm not so sure? .. If Godzilla hasn't brought them here en mass , not sure the PR kaiju will. I don't know if the average movie goer will look beyond the PR toys at target..... ........EDIT: Whoops, my computer went dead & couldn't finish post until now .... totally agree with ultrakaiju below & Ungawa222 above .... the word "kaiju", if used in the movie a lot , could very well steer new people to SB if they bother to google it, etc. I found out about SB while searching for a hedorah figure. . But anyway, how many average moviegoers will go buy PR toys & then look beyond them to real japanese kaiju collecting? Now, if a movie had or featured some of these toys, I could see a real flood of people coming here ... Just think if Pixar had a few of these in Toy Story (even in the background?) or some other movie had them on a office desk / bedroom dresser / etc.... (By the way, doesn't it seem strange that there should be enough people high up in Hollywood who are collectors, that some of these great figures would have made it to the big screen in some way by now?)...then people might really notice. . Anyway, sorry for derailing this thread.... but i did want to comment on that as well .... Most of these great figures went to true collectors & good homes The fact that some wormy flipper was able to get ahold of one does not change the dedication, heart & soul that went into this run ( and all other great figures by other great artists!)... As long as most of the people are honest, true collectors ... here for the love of all these great toys .... then that will be something that will keep SB & collecting special.

Are you talking about the Matthew Broderick '98 Godzilla? Because that was a general flop all around, and yet I would still argue it has brought a lot of people into the world of Goji and toy collecting (whether classical characters or not). I think the main 'trepidation' here is just the incredible amount of times the word "kaiju" will be thrown around because of this movie, which will inevitably lead to the influx of people temporarily getting into the stuff and spiking it all because of momentary fleeting popularity.

The Thrash-Ollie came with the paint chips, and i have not noticed any new ones on it or the Enma.

PLUS a few nips or issues are worth it to actually play with the toys. Right?
