I'm huluplus people now, dropped Netflix a while back, but that still counts, right?

Midway through Color Me Obsessed: A Film About the Replacements. Pretty great so far. The weird part is at 56 minutes in there hasn't been a single note of music.

Todd & the Book of Pure Evil was added to netflix recently. It is funny and you should watch it.

Yes that is Jason Mewes as the janitor.

2nd on Todd and the book of pure evil. Unfortunately it was not picked up for a 3rd season.

Bones Brigade doc is great, they could have done 2 hours on just Mullen. The only confusing thing was the inclusion of Fred Durst and Shepard (Durst of the art world) Fairey

7 seasons of Its Always Sunny are up, that's always good to kill a few hours

Videogame High School was also enjoyable. It was put together from a Internet mini-series by Rocket Jump

Yeah I'm not a fan of Fairey as an artist but I guess he did some skating back in the day. Durst though.. When he came on I went PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT out loud.

Just watched this...

Dark Horse
Todd Solondz' latest film is the story of a thirty-something guy with arrested development falls for thirty-something girl with arrested development, but moving out of his junior high school bedroom proves too much. Tragedy ensues.

Kevlo, what did you think of the movie? Solodnz is hit or miss for me. Loved "Dollhouse" and "Happiness" but some of the others seemed to fall flat. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Recently viewed some documentaries on artists at Netflix.

"Gerhard Richter: Painting" - If you're already interested in this ever-changing artist, you'll probably find this mesmerizing for its inside view of how he currently works. Otherwise it might come across as a bit boring and pretentious, unfortunately. I liked it but can't really explain why other than to say that it humanized someone who previously seemed inscrutable and mysterious to me.

"Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry" - Recommended even if you've never heard of him. But you have, and it's a great flick. :-)

"Waste Land" - about the fantastic Brazilian artist/photographer Vik Muniz. Also strongly recommended regardless of whether you know his work or not. Amazing stuff.

And if for some reason you still haven't seen it, "Exit Through the Gift Shop" is one of the best art documentaries, ever. Not really about Banksy, although it sort of is in a brilliantly subversive sort of way.

I was stuck at home last week with the flu and starting watching "Shameless". The original UK series, not the US remake.

I'm currently on season 6 (Netflix has 8 seasons).

I really liked the first 3-4 seasons. It's become allot more serious in the later seasons. Also too many characters from the original cast have been written out and I don't find the newer characters that interesting. I'm still going to push thru and finish the series. :)

I'm curious how the US remake is, I've heard good/bad things?

While not a spectacular piece of art, I've been trying to get everyone I know to watch "Beyond the Myth."
Its a documentary on breed specific legislation in the US that has already killed thousands of non violent family pets for no reason other than they have the characteristics of a breed. I had friends in Ohio affected by this a few years ago and they ended up giving away most of their dogs, but it just keeps getting worse, even though some states (such as Ohio) have passed laws prohibiting such legislation, the county and city rules remain on the books.
If you are a dog lover, its a must watch.

Never was interested in watching when it was on air, the monster make up and 90's special effects are awesome too!

Finished up watching Machete Maidens Unleashed with my wife last night.
It had some good clips and interviews in it.
Now I need to track down some of the films it talks about.
Specifically, the Weng Weng films. They look hilarious!

Do not watch 200mph...unless you want to try an catch every inconsistency in the movie. It's really awful.

Watched the first episode last night. Seems to be a bit of a mixed bag but I liked it enough to keep watching. The weird rich lady kinda reminded me of Morticia Addams. :-)

Watched the Bones Brigade documentary a bit ago, definitely recommend it to any old school skateboarding fans. Really enjoyed everything about Rodney Mullen, and if you're into the Punkrock there's some awesome old school footage of Duane Peters!
Now Breaking Bad has become a new addiction!

Great video and I love Mullen. I got very nostalgic watching it. Reminds me of some of the more innocent times of the 80's.

Yeah and I really loved the story of Mullen and his struggle with his dad, that quote
".. you know, you're dominating at something that doesn't matter.."
has really stuck with me for some reason.
I also loved that all the current pro skaters at the time hated Tony Hawk! Just thought it was really funny considering where he is now

Beauty Is Embarrassing, the doc on Wayne White, is now available; I would say it's a must-watch for most on this board!

I finished the series the other day. It was OK and I wish that Eli Roth directed more then the first episode. I did like the way that they wrapped up the series and enjoyed the last 2 episodes.
