That is a ton of SB stuff! This month alone would fill a shelf.

Yeah you can always sell it if you regret. Better than regretting later for not buying it when you had the chance.

I fear that everything that made sb "special" is quickly disappearing.

I have to agree with Audio.
There's a tipping point.

I don't want to be negative and I realize the recent onslaught is a mix of several things going on or going wrong as the case may be but I think there is a saturation point.
For me it's the old story of too much good stuff and not enough $$$.

Is SxB the new Toy2r???
I stopped collecting [expletive deleted] when it was too hard to keep up with them and they only costed between 5.00 and 10.00 a piece in most cases. I am not comparing the figures because SxB is far better then toy2r. I hope the rush of all these releases calms down a bit.

I agree that we have reached a heavy release period, but really it is not to much different that the entire SB company history. the problem here is that the items are now available in the states so it has become hectic. 2 years ago christmas, I almost had to take a loan out to get all the cool shit coming out. I ended up passing on alot of things and I am not sad today. I am still collecting and loving this shit.
I think that these feelings have been around japanese collectors too and that is how doors have opened for smaller companies like real head and blobpus. But what I like is that the SB designs and colorways have still stood out among these smaller companies.

It's only a problem if you hafta have'em all, but there is a lot more kick ass shit coming out and lots of deals floating around too.
Lets see I've been trying not to spend much, but recent gets: dissected, gid chicken, gid damnderon, gid pirate, 3 skullwings (chase & xtra in a set), Goga, signed matango/man set, a custom, jled print. . . and I'm cherry picking.
You gotta be dedicated.

I totally agree with this!! when I started collecting I wanted everything but with time I have relised I can't have it all and the shit I can get I am way more into. I am glad SB is releasing more because it gives me a chance to at lease get some of the stuff I am really into.

The *critical* point with all the recent SB releases is they are almost all *quality* pieces. Yes, prices are up, yes something like 15-20 new figures came out in October, but look at the sheer variety. Artoyz.....Skulletor....Mask Rangers....Alien Mantis....Ghoul's Night Out.....GID Pirate...FC Obake/Pumpkin Head set...We're talking about an incredible range of lines here, and I don't think it's fair to suggest they come close to approaching the crassness of some vinyl platform producers who do little more than change one or two color settings in an Illustrator file to produce a new colorway.
Those chickens are coming home to roost for a number of designers and toy companies. I think SB is still in a decent position, as long as the production run numbers don't get too high, since that seems to be bothering some collectors. Always very tricky to maintain that "just right" balance between availability and exclusivity, and I don't envy companies who have to deal with the issue on a regular basis.
So yeah, October was a major month. I reckon things will slow down a bit over the next few months, so we'll have time to recalibrate our displays and wallets.

Anyone in the U.S. get their Artoyz x SB release in yet? It's been awhile and we paid up the ass for shipping.
