Flickr, despite the horrible new layout, is still the best for hosting photos and does not prevent content from being used on forums. I post a hell of a lot of pictures here and only use Flickr. I dunno, i tried using Flickr to host an avatar and it wouldn't work. I think the code needed for avatars is different. I used Imageshack and it worked perfectly.

I'm leili,
In the Los Angeles area and for the most part new to ..everything here. My uncle is a collector of sorts so I have had a small exposure to vintage kaiju vinyls (lots of medicom, popy bullmark etc it seems) and such. Here to learn!!

 Re: Introductions
Well, I'm just getting started so I've yet to settle into any particular theme or whatever. My collection is just kind of scatter-shot. I do have a fondness for Grody Shogun, though.

I really like the RealXHead Mutant Zone stuff, especially the Chaosman. That eyeball and scarf.. This also started thanks to seeing the Retro Action Hero Yoju God figure..and subsequently having to spend the rest of my day off finding and buying it. What a day. It came in the mail today actually!!

 Re: Introductions
Hello everyone. I too just found this thread, and probably should have posted here first and foremost. I've been lurking for a while, and finally joined a few months back. I'd just like to thank the acquaintances I've made thus far for their kindness.
I'm wondering if any other new members are having trouble with linking photos from Flickr as well... (if this question would be better posted in a different forum, please let me know and I will move it)

People have stated that there was an issue but it's the same thing as it was prior to the terrible update.

 Re: Introductions
Hey everyone! Mikee Riggs (coma21) and Jake Larntz finally got me to join SB. I'm stoked. I just got into collecting harder as of late. Specifically Super7 with my mummies and burgerbuns. If you have any suggestions for toys to get into that are a similar style to any of those, I'm down to learn more and build up my collection! Look forward to meeting all of you!

People have stated that there was an issue but it's the same thing as it was prior to the terrible update. Thank you, bryce. I believe the problem stems from the browser(s) I use. I've tried Safari, Chrome, and Firefox... none of which seem to like Flickr's interface, which would explain why I can't link. The same scenario applies for mobile as well... I'm thinking of starting a new thread about this, so as not to take the focus off introductions and such. I will include screen captures to show what I'm dealing with (Photobucket links flawlessly). Hopefully some of more of the tech-savvy boardies may chime in... What forum would such a thread best be suited under?

 Re: Introductions
Thank you all for the sage advice. I'm just gonna have to keep tinkering with different settings (and mobile apps) on my end. I can link fine with photobucket, so I'll probably just stick with what works.

 Re: Introductions
Hi there,
Like so many others, I've been lurrrrrking for a bit but too lazy/busy to be social and introduce myself. I collect pretty much anything that I like the looks of (2 kids means there's no way I could ever be a completist of basically everything) but RxH is the stuff that hooked me from the beginning so I guess that'd be my favorite if I ever had the resources to really pursue it.
I'm into comics too, so I also still buy crappy mass marketed action figures sometime too (and pretend they're for my 10-yr old son)
Also into heavy metal, sci-fi and horror.

 Re: Introductions
Welcome Dave, RxH was my introduction to the world of kaiju as well. The closest I recently came to to buying a mass produced toy was the Pacific Rim action figures. In the end, I just couldn't pull the trigger... I still would really like to see a sequel green lit (saw PR in the the theater twice, and will most likely buy the Blu-Ray/so there's my support).
I'm not the right boardie to advise what pics are kosher on here. However, I'd suggest finding the most appropriate forum before posting any western/mass produced vinyl pics if you plan to... I'm sure you've seen this is a somewhat sensitive subject around these parts.

Ha ha - yeah, I know better than to post pics of em, I was just using it more as an example of how much I like comics. I had to draw a picture of Juggernaut the other day and was looking up pics of toys online for reference and ended up buying a used one just cuz I liked the details of the veins popping on his hugely oversized arms! I loved Pacific Rim too, but also couldn't buy the toys. I also did a second viewing in theater... I hope that ton of cash it made in China helps the chances of a sequel!
