I mean the blue skullhevi was being flipped for 4x the price ON THE DAY IT WAS RELEASED. That shit is a fucking joke. I'd love to see that color get released again suddenly so the jackasses who paid that much for them can feel extra stupid, and the people flipping them won't make as much a profit as they do with shit like that.

You're not going to stop the flippers with reissues. I mean look at vinyl records. Brand New re-released Your favorite Weapon, and the first pressing still goes for six hundred on ebay. As long as collectors want to collect everything, there will always be flippers, unless there is no way to tell between the two versions, haha

Hey, if they pull the vinyl at the same time and print indentical headers that's all they need to do. I'm not talking reissue it years later.

Stop giving the flippers the opportunity to make money and they'll move to something else.

Case in point, old school transformers. Used to be to get a G1 Optimus prime would cost you between 300$ and $800 depending on condition. But since 2000 prime has been reissued at least 10 times, and while a boxed, pristine, original still fetches a pretty penny you can get nearly identical reissue for $100 if not less. Everyone who wants a prime can have one and flippers can suck it.

Tom, Mr. Pike here makes a wonderful point though, No matter what, everyone who drop $300 on the secondary market for a 45 dollar figure will always feel it in the back of their head and in general they deserve that feeling for feeding into it.

The feeding into it is the issue that I have the biggest problem with. I don't have a blue skullhevi, and despite the fact that I would very much like to have one if someone offered me one for the low low price of $400 I'd tell them politely where they could shove it. (Hint it's a place that doesn't get much sun). I'm happy to wait until one shows up at a reasonable price.

I have one of the new skullhevis, but I got it for retail from a friend because of positive interactions and fostering good relationships within this community for the past 6+ years. What these needy people who pay the flippers whatever they ask for the newest thing need to realize is this- you're never going to be complete, there will always be sometjing out of your reach. But if you can show just a little patience and control you'll be able to get stuff without paying an arm and a leg for it, PLUS you won't be generating an environment where unscrupulous people can profit flipping toys.

I'm pretty sure I saw it within 15 minutes of it being listed and I got the sold out email... Which is probably for the best considering I shouldn't be spending right now.
