Jeez, you guys pretty much have all the range covered now, what's left for the rest of us? :) Thanks for sharing all the headers guys, some of the best thrill with getting a new figure is a potentially different header. I really love some of those vintage ones, and of the neo-era ones I have always liked the M1 and Bearmodel yokai headers.

Re: Paying Hommage to The Header Card

[smacks head on desk, closes textbook] That's it, I am outta here.

As a general curious question for the folks out there, since I notice it on most of Scott's vintage headers, do people usually restaple them after opening? I have almost no vintage that came sealed in the original packaging, but just wondering what the feeling is on keeping the staples in or not. If they were rusting I would definitely remove them, but all of yours are in excellent shape. That is a collector's collection right there. I bow in admiration, sir.

This page is super strong ! Thanks for taking time to upload this, guys.

Re: Paying Hommage to The Header Card

Wed Jun 05, 2013 6:26 pm

Thanks ! I usually try to scan the header before I open it, but if its a good example I keep it bagged .. (ie: if the bag is not crusty or so dirty you can hardly see the toy or if the toy just doesnt sit well in the bag )

If I release it from its prison then I keep the bag staples (still attached) and header together .. maybe its the way I pry the staples open at the back and carefully peel the bag open (man I really am an anal retentive)

Re: Paying Hommage to The Header Card

Wed Jun 05, 2013 6:40 pm

Oh, I am totally anal about opening guys too (I think nearly all collectors harbour some degree of OCD) but once I surgically remove the staple, that is usually the end of it. I try and minimise and damage to the header, push edges around the holes back down, etc. I never really though of re-inserting it. I like the look of yours though, even if they were open gives you the feeling of still being 'as they were' new, with the staples in place. I have a few headers I think I might not be covered [yet] but the condition is definitely nowhere near your minty examples.

Those are fantastic Kitaro headers, especially that second one. Amazing art on this page; this is one of my favourite threads to keep revisiting.
