^An uninterested élan of generosity for sure...What's with the sudden rash of Nag bootlegs/copies/homages anyway ...?

Oh boy... So who's gonna do a bootleg of the Bootleg or the MOTUKO? And since the consensus seems to be that it's okay to bootleg hyped/elusive toys, why not start bootlegging Pushead, PK and MVH? Oh right, because they would go Gacy on your uninspired asses. Carry on!

...oh, and in other trainspotter news... Looks like the ole NNN has been beaten at the gates for the title of 1st sofubi to retail for US$1,000 or more by newcomer Yusei Majin... Link to article on Man-E-Toys: http://man-e-toys.com/2013/10/27/man-e-news-longnecks-yusei-majin-nycc-exclusives-available-now/ " ...each have been priced at a whopping 105,000yen (approx. $1089) plus shipping." And the offending creatures? Photo below:

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
^^ Is that towards the poor information given or the price? These had doodles from yoda, variant eyes etc which makes them possibly 1offs. Regardless of that, they were offered from m-world. So that's not "retail". M-world has never offered anything at retail. They've been known to inflate prices .

One other thing I noticed is the type of vinyl used. The longneck moon from my personal collection is squishy vinyl. Longneck's NYCC moon was made in hard vinyl. Not sure if i want to call these One-off's or just very special regular runs... bryce_r wrote: Regardless of that, they were offered from m-world. So that's not "retail". M-world priced them all at retail just like it was the case with these longneck's. Yes, the price included a very small commission fee, but thats it..

M-W usually takes 1/3rd - 1/4th of the price as a commission. I won't call it a very small commission, unless I am in the flipping business.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
So much useful information on this page. It sure helps from having to check out other areas of the forum. Not that it was not already obvious the few threads people flock to. The mods should just help everyone out to stay on top of the game by making a KR discussion subsection and stickying this to the top.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
It doesn't matter if he priced them over $1000 because no one did or will buy them. My next release, I'm going to price at $10,000. None will sell, but I will then hold the most expensive toy record

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
...PART of me actually thinks those Yusei will sell. People love that toy. A lot. AND the guys behind it are doing the ole NNN schtick for releases - lots of releases and versions to keep the hype/press, not many made to keep interest going and sell 'em at a high price to begin with. An easy formula to follow i guess. BUT it does need a cool piece behind it. And yeah, i think the Yusei is a damn cool piece.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
^^^^ ...the Man-E-Toys post implied they were only for show at NYCC, and are only now for sale by M-World. So is an official sale by a flipper, a flipper sale? OR an official sale, that just happens to be buy a flipper? I always suck at philosophy, so i'll leave the answer to the board...

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
^^^^ thanks for the info Joe! And if they were the same price at NYCC, well i guess that makes the M-World sale, a regular sale, that just happens to be carried out by a flipper. Now to see IF they actually sell. Or maybe end up at Mandrake for double the price in a month or so...?
