Yeah he is really great. It looks like he is on a shinier vinyl than the more matte Sunguts usually uses for yokai stuff?

yeah, the paint is relatively matt and the vinyl is quite glossy.
He's got quite a fine balance on those little feet but he stands sturdy enough

Thanks, I picked up my Cochinobake at Wonderfest last year but I also saw it for sale at a couple other small events around the same time, since then though I haven't seen it anywhere. Hopefully you find one, its a really nice piece.

I really do love that Chochinobake. It would be so great to have a few of these to hang up in a line outside a little model building/temple, or a few versions in different sizes to set all together in a group. Another plain excellent yokai sculpt from Sunguts.

^ Indeed! In fact, this is Mach, a dog from a manga by Mochiru Hoshisato. The story is about a little girl who mourns her dog's death. So Mach convinces the Gods to let him return to Earth for a short period to help the girl out. And Sunguts brought him to life as a toy...
