Oh! I'll take the kittee! So cute! :P
David! Glad everything arrived safe and sound. Sorry about the broken candy stixs... I should've wrapped them more carefully  Love the photo :P

P.S. I wanted to send you this, but figured it wasn't too "politically correct"

First of a few PictureBox going-dormant-sale hauls. Everything's half off on their website this month. The Gary Panter book is unbelievable--I don't know why I didn't pick it up a long time ago.

Got that Panter book from PictureBox last year, amazing set! Good amount of Kaiju in the works and some cool photos of his toy collection.

Great movie right there. Akira is one of those films in my top five of 'need to buy' once I get a BD player.

This was my thrift store find of the day, but is probably the best of the year for me. A bright red Polaroid Electric Zip. A real beauty. With a fantastic name like that alone, how I could I not give this guy a new home. Complete in the box with all the paperwork and even a classic flash bulb set. Now if anyone wants to contribute some film to me (check those attics/boxes!), I promise to take some polaroids of some nice toys. :) Seriously, I am looking.

(sorry for the crappy pic)

I am jealous of your find. You have a land camera there. It uses fujifilm, super cheap and a lot of fun to use (i take photos of sally joe with mine) any decent camera store will have the film, heck, even amazon should have it. its called FP 100c for color and FP 3000B for black and white. at the top it should have a little switch to choose the right film (small number '75' i think, should be for color, sometimes its red)

Its a really fun camera to use and it runs on AA batteries, just check that the terminals arent corroded. A few tutorials online should give you a great feel of how it works. Its waaaaaay cheaper than any of the 600 or X70 film polaroids, now that film, via Impossible, is super expensive.

Have a blast taking pics.

Thanks man! I am definitely looking forward to taking this out for a spin if I can. Inside of the camera looks really clean; not sure if this was ever even used, especially considering the packaging and flyers inside, but if it was, someone sure took care of it. You should post some of your analog pics! Unfortunately, this Land takes the square Type 80 film from my understanding, and is not compatible with the Type 100. I am hoping to come across some, as I don't really want to shell out bucketloads for the overpriced stuff. You can do some mods to the case I guess I make 100 work, but that might be a last resort. I am enjoying this one already, and haven't even been capturing any shots, so in any case, it was worth it for me.

Ah, its a Zip. completely missed that. I sent you a PM with a ton of info, but just for anyone else out there.

Use THIS tutorial to convert to use the 100c. If you want, you dont have to. You can always get another LanCa, but playing with them, like toys, is half the fun.

I hope this helps a bit.

It’s a postcard, Atom sent them to friends & supporters for new years. While it’s no Gargamel Zodiac, I <3 it just the same.

He sent me a similar piece of original art for year of the dragon.

^Really a fun idea! So it's shaped like a playing card, and it came wrapped in plastic? Any more art on the inside? So cool that he remembers fans like this. :D

It's nice when a delivery actually fits in the mail slot.
David Bowie Reality "DualDisk".
The DVD side also contains the full-length version of Steven Lippman's excellent Reality film.

Continuing the theme of buying things back.....Don't you just hate when you think you're done with one obsession and you sell some of it off to pay for another, only to realize you love them both equally and have to buy them again? I never thought I'd want to DJ again and was happy selling some of my vinyl after digitizing it to listen to. Now I regret it because I can't stand digital DJ's. It's all about the physical act of beat matching with actual records you can touch for me. Sad part is this obsession is worse than toys and fucking hell vinyl is hard to come by compared to about 10 years ago:

^^^THIS^^^
I think (EDM) vinyl has been dying a slow death since before Technics 1200's were discontinued. That was a major setback for the soon-to-be "lost art" of beat matching, and each CDJ manufactured is another nail in the coffin.

Good luck with reopening that door, Lixx. Glad to see vinyl's not completely dead... yet.
