 Re: Marusan 450 Series
Sweet iron mecha monkey balls! I went to pick up a different toy package at the post office last night. These were also waiting for me at the post office apparently since Wednesday without me knowing. It would be nice to receive a slip from Mr. Irresponsible Postman.

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
Damn, mecha-awesome mail day there Anthony. The Bullmark version looks even more spectacular than I was expecting. Luscious looking vinyl and beautiful paint application. I have been curious, does the Tokyo Tower have the full flush base type, or is it hollow/recessed? The only thing that could improve that set is having a giant Kong to battle it out on the tower with him.

Man those mecha kongs! I should have gone for the Bullmark one with the tower. And thanks ultra for the full list! Reminded me how much I love the Always Godzilla and need to get that.

I was surprised too about the blue MK, the photo for the mailer was not easy to see. In hand it's one of my favorite toys in a long time. Sooooooo nice.

Unexpected was the lighter blue metallic paint sprayed lightly on a few spots with the dark navy blue paint on the dark grey vinyl.

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
Hurry up King Joe! I need an evil space robot fix!
Also, has anyone seen another Blue Goro with the "vintage look"? All the ones I've seen for sale were like new, no imitation play wear. I know the one I got is a sample from WF, was this the only one they distressed?

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
^ I was able to pick one up, surprisingly there is no vintage look or signs of distress. Quite a beautiful monkey.

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
I have only seen a couple other ones, and none with the same 'distressed' look as the one you picked up from WF. I saw one other example that kind of looked like the silver sprays were thinly applied and uneven, that might make it look 'worn away,' but it was difficult to say for sure as it was in the package, and did not have the noticeable rub spots like on yours.

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
Whose gonna pony up the ¥120,000 for the 12 month 450 size plan? Or if youre on a budget, the ¥60,000 350 size plan? Im considering this, its sounds like it will be a lot of robot and ape action from the description on the post card. But Im going to need to let some other stuff go or ill be in the proverbial dog house!

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
Received the 450 King Joe vs. Ultraseven set today, oh so worth the wait! There was a note inside about requests for the "black" King Joe so hopefully that will be coming someday too. Have to say this is the best 450 yet, the hand painting just makes it better. Funny thing is that the back piece is sprayed but on the old toy it was hand painted and Marusan got requests for this figure to be remade with the hand painted back piece. Crazy, so maybe this will get reissued and the only difference will be that. Lol.

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
Bone, they shipped these out a little at a time during the last couple months, I was probably the last person to get the set I ordered so late.

 Re: Marusan 450 Series
The latest Giant Gorilla is quite stunning. Love how the eyes have a glossy finish and the teeth are all painted individually.
