so these were produced by Medicom--were the 14" versions sculpted by T9G???

His name was all over the one I had, so I saw no reason to doubt that he did.

I can't say I'm 100% certain, but I believe so. I don't think there would be a reason for him to hand off the job to someone else as I believe he sculpts all of his own work, plus works under the commission of others-I was to understand that sculpting was his primary expertise.

Speaking of which, his absolution toy is pretty cool.

thanks for the comments. I'm dying for a 6" version, but the big ones will have to do until then. I have mitsuke. the big one has really different feel from his usual works--not just in design but in execution. I had to wonder. good good stuff.

The Medicom line Yumenokos are nice in their own right, but they definitely don't share the appeal of the originals-I believe these only stand at about 4" tall, pretty small but so cool. I still have the few I managed to pick up a long time ago, but hating myself for not picking up the others whenever I had the chance. The nice thing for dedicated collectors is the low count for completion, but with such low production numbers I'm grateful to have the few that I do. I was under the assumption he only made seven models including the Usanoko, but I came across two more just a while ago in which I was unaware of their existence (pink flocked w/black arms & full clear).

The only one missing from that database is a clear body/legs w/pink arms/head. There's also the blue/black plushes, but those never really interested me.

That Usanoko is a nice score! Did it come with the original box/sock mask?

Yeah, it came complete. Box, mask, certificate, and signed edition 5/10. It fits so nicely with my collection in size and presence.

That's awesome! One of them popped up on Y!JA a couple years back and I passed up on the opportunity to grab it. Dumb.

I'd love to get my hands on one more of the original models; the first release black or the GID would be great.
