I have GH1 and like it alot.

GH2 gives me an excuse to get a second guitar for those party jam sessions!

How is the song list?

damn you nintendo for not porting this! the only drawback for me being a diehard nintendo fan is that they dont get some of the cooler games that the big two get. they did finally release karaoke revolution for the GC though and after a hesitant beginning i absolutely love rocking that game. 20 diamond records so far.

Yeah the attempt at Danzig's voice is absolutely pathetic.

Just picked this up for the Xbox360. This is my first Guitar Hero game and I finally see what all the hype is about. My fret wrist is KILLING me! A small price to pay for fulfilling a fantasy of playing a Deathklok song and the Trogdor theme. Skynyrd's "Freebird" is absolutely hellish but I finally noodled my way through it on medium.

I love the fake Danzig voice. It cracks me up everytime I play. The fake rancid singer too!

Freebird is awesome to play near the end, the beginning gets a bit repetitive on medium. That song is a just a test of your endurance but I love it :)

all the bad songs to rock out to that are just horrible
2 has too many things I'm not into and the whole nu metal thing
however co op mode on 2 is awesome

I haven't played 1 yet, might have to get that because I couldn't get into 70% of the songs in Guitar Hero 2. I definitely agree that they need to make them wireless, this way they wouldn't get tangled when I put them on my buddy's guitar stand.

I've heard that a lot of the first Guitar Hero songs will be available for download over Xbox Live. Not sure how much they'll cost but I saw quite a few songs on the list that looked like they'd be fun to play. Yeah, I definitely loved Unsung back in the day. If I recall, I think Beavis and Butthead were fans too!
