I love the blue one best too. The blue is actually crystal clear - really nice effect.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I bought two of each because I LOVE this moon guy figure and I knew he would be hard to find. The first set I bought through Mandarake and I have twice had an item canceled there because they don't really have them in stock. That same evening, before I received my mandarake confirmation, they showed up on yahoo japan with the prompt decision price. I had to do it. I was too afraid that if I didn't and mandarake cancelled on me, I would be regretting it big time. I know figures like this can always find a good home later on, so it was worth it to me to be sure.
I think my recent experience on Mandarake with missing many of those King Negora figures because I did not realize how quickly they would sell has made me a bit trigger-happy there and on yahoo now. (Basically, my first time on Mandarake, I found about a DOZEN King Negora figures, which I had not been able to find anywhere else at all for months. So I felt like I had entered toy heaven at last and I kind of thought this was the norm for them - they they had had those King Negoras up for awhile and would continue to do so. I even assumed they were selling multiples of each. So I took a couple of hours perusing the site and putting together my first order and when I went to order later that day - they were just about all gone! It had not occurred to me then that they would sell that fast and that there was only one of each. I did not then understand Mandarake. And this was just a few months ago.) So now, when I see, I POUNCE.
I suspect they will be popping up here and there from now on. I had planned to offer them in trade here, but then I got a look at my credit card bill for this month and realized I had better get my money back on them quick, so I had to do a quick sale instead.

Successful used stores in Japan like Disk Union, Book-Off and Mandarake try their best to keep a constantly moving stock. Unless something is out of your price range, I would not recommend sitting on it. Case in point, Mandarake listed some items I wanted that there overpriced (120% higher than the last time they were listed). The items sat for a few weeks unmoved. Last week they lowered their prices and they all sold within hours.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Cindy, thank you for the clarification. I can understand this situation, it actually happened to me but I had enough time to cancel the Mandarake order. Although not without getting an email from them telling me off. I was just a little concerned about people who hoard just because and then blatantly flip trade or resell just because they can.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I thought about canceling the order on Mandarake, but I did not think they would do it. Their FAQ page says no cancellations and warns they could stop taking your orders.....could not live with that. No, believe me, I did not make any money on them. Probably lost a bit when you add in shipping costs and paypal fees and such. They were not cheap on mandarake at all. I think yahoo was better. But you have to grab them where you can, I am learning, and don't take too much time thinking about it.
I wish I had been able to get the crater guy too. Didn't see him in either place, but saw a pic on lowbrownie.

^ A superb monster toy. King Zaiga from Mirrorman. He has those air holes from the original rubber suit that I just love Bullmark incorporated into their figures.

An interesting note- King Zaiga is one of a handful of Mirrorman monster Bullmarks that have not been reproduced by Enterprise or any of its modern successors. I've always wondered why a few were omitted. Less popular characters? Lost molds?

There was a hot pink for a good price available for a while that disappeared about two weeks ago. If I didn't already have the unpainted flesh I would have snapped it up. It's a great toy isn't it?

^^ Yup, that was the one. I've wanted a Five Star Sunshine for ages but thought the day-glo pink would be too over the top. I finally took the plunge and i'm happy to admit I was wrong . . . it's perfect The quality of the vinyl is out of this world. Great toy!

King Zaiga, is really a great toy. Awesome score, one of my very few vintage purchases. When I saw him, I had to have it! Your red looks really rich though. Mine is in pretty good condition, but the colors are no where near as saturated as yours. (Minor photo editing in my pic, but it still seems like a drastic shift)

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Part of what I love about collecting these toys is that they are all individually handpainted. In that way, each is essentially unique. While it admittedly causes me no end of consternation sometimes when buying toys, I still love to do all the comparisons of different paints on them. Everyone has their particular preferences too, which is great; some people like heavy colours, while others like light sprays allowing more vinyl to show through. In the end, neither is and less than the other - both incredibly excellent toys.
