Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
So yeah....kind of got that toy nirvana thing going on over here. Thirteen and a quarter inches of sofubi reproduction glory. Mega/ultra/huge thanks to Dennis Shirahama for making these pre-orders available. My only regret is not further mortgaging my financial future for the giant Goji and King Ghidora. Some unbagged photos on the flickr link...

Nice, Bitterpill. I like this colorway so much better than the older blue over brown reissue that I already own.

Nice pickups brooklyn vinyl and bitterpill. I especially like the crudeness of that wacky Private Hooligan.

Michael and I went to this weird toy store here in a suburb of Portland. The guy is open from around 8pm til whenever. Mostly star wars and broken mcdonalds toys. Some cool hidden stuff like these guys if youre lucky. This is the outside..

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Nice Kanegon and wind-up dino. Do you know if the dino is Japan made? I have the very same Kanegon sitting on my desk at the office, with a broken eye stalk. Poor guy took a fall, perched on a colleague's cube divider, so he's waiting for a little surgery. What a coincidence . ...hmmm, that reminds me, I wonder what type of glue I should use to glue back the eye stalk?

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Hey Grace - I found that Zap-a-Gap glue works real well. You don't need a lot to do the job and if done carefully, it's hard to tell where the repair is. I think I found mine at a Micheal's craft store. Mr. Humphreys wrote: ...hmmm, that reminds me, I wonder what type of glue I should use to glue back the eye stalk?

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Thank you Gents! That helps! The Kanegon has been sitting on my desk for several months, as I hadn't had the time to research the type of glue to use, so thank you for making that easy peasy for me . The repair should be seamless, because when I hold the eye stalk in place, you can't tell if it was ever detached. Ha! When I peer down the broken opening from the eye area, I can still see half of the plastic do-hicky string thing that the price tag or product tag was attached to. This "broken" toy would be a perfect test piece for me to try my hand at popping out the head with the hair-dryer technique (I've always been too chicken to do that ) P.S. Thanks too, for the info on the wind-up dino!

That's great Jesse! I imagine Michael and you had a great time too. Nice finds you dug up. I love adventurin' around to these types of places and treasure hunting. Even when you don't find anything special, the looking itself is an experience. I only wish there were some stores nearby me. I could definitely go for some loved and beatup Star Wars figures at any time. Ghost&Flower wrote: Michael and I went to this weird toy store here in a suburb of Portland. Great colorway for those Zollmen minis. Nice score. Some of the classiest toys Zollmen has ever made. Guess that is b/c they are based on vintage sculpts to begin with.....

I gots nothing but love for the ol' Zollmen. My savings account reflects this sentiment. There is a clear inverse relationship between the two.

We are lucky enough to have 3 different places like this nearby that I know of. Planning on going to one of the other ones next week on a drive up to seattle. My favorite thing about them is that they are so full of stuff that even after walking around the place 3 times you still see something new tucked in a random corner or in a bin full of junk.
