I'm not a fan of Pushead's work but this style works so much better on this new figure compared to the previous collaborations he did on the Mecha Ju.
Huge Congrats to cyber_ann for the win! Great to see this go to such a positive member of our community.

Rich makes a good point. I didn't take notice to it too much at first and it wouldn't deter me from trying to acquire one of these during that perfect storm. Maybe had there been more than three wires coming from the severed limbs, it could be appease some. Hell, they could have even left the hand off in my opinion and this thing would still kick.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Yeah the fix could be super easy. Leave the hand unattached, and leave the wires hanging from the stump all frayed, maybe double the amount to thicken them up as well. That would be perfect and look so cool. Use that severed hand as a weapon !

Laaame.... Pus hype machine keeps on chuggin... And before ppl pipe in with "its an artists work and they can decide how to sell it however they want": i totally agree but i just think that is lame if thats how it went down. Yea I was pretty bummed but that's just the way it is. Really cool in person though maybe one day I'll eventually get one

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
I feel that this is a bit like the MG2 when I first saw it: the small, thin chain to me just felt out of place (I prefer a more of a chunky one); same goes for those wires, personally I would've preferred another 'regular' arm or as suggested more wires and perhaps a loose hand.

Nice! Orange/grey was a beauty too. All gone when I got to the front. But everything was gorgeous in that show.
I picked up the captain, a bearbrick and a Pus print.

Agree... The damaged right knee is fantastic and initially my favorite part of Itamu aside from the head. I can see how people don't like/hate the arm...but personally, I love it. The fact that the teaser pics for several months was the Pus... head on the MG1 body made it seem like thats what was coming out. Then the full sculpt was revealed and made you re-think what you thought of the figure. I like how some of the wires are fully twisted, where as some were left loose, if that makes sense. The rust color has a pearl that I can't quite photograph w/ my phone. The blue and olive versions are straight vinyl. Unpainted

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
the darker of the bronze tones when inspecting it up close at the show i noticed was a marbled vinyl. parts of it had a bluish pearl in it, while others a brown/goldish pearl... really reallt subtle marbling on it, i think thats what made it even more bad ass... i think the wires work... they dont look like speaker wires to me, rather than cull aluminum core wiring similar to what would be used on a house. speaker wire would give more strands to look like they go to more control panels... but then the fist would swing around a lot more. I think this solid core wire, even though its only 3, looks like it would hold the fist in place.

^ ^ ^ That leg is very nice, amazing sculpting there. The brown vinyl really kicks out the details.

The recent King Gorilla went out to randomly selected people that purchased the last poster release. I'm pretty sure if you scored either previous King Gorilla's you would have been exempt from this release.

Collectively our hit rate over here is pretty good. Considering there's like 5? of us here even if one guy scores that's a 1:5 ratio. Just a guess. Still I'm zero for 6? on the MG2! I think HS is trying his best to cover all bases. Still you can't please everybody. I'd think the collectors in Japan is none better than elsewhere. I can imagine their frustration too.

A good friend proved me wrong by winning the last 2 in a row. The KGJ is by far my favorite HxS sculpt. I won the Pink painted and thought, that was it for me for a long while...and I was totally fine with that knowing this was "the one for me". I was shocked to get the flesh painted email offer. I know how difficult it is to win a lotto, let alone one of Hirotas. These will be appreciated until they disintegrate. Definitely a toy dream come true.

If this ends up being my one and only... I can still die happy. I wouldn't mind getting one of each sculpt but this made my year by far. Now to wait in anticipation for it to be delivered lol doomsDAY wrote: GoldenArmKid wrote: The recent King Gorilla went out to randomly selected people that purchased the last poster release.
