There has been little to no "hype" on this toy since its first couple releases (You should thank Mandarake for that). I've seen nothing but fair prices since, and from great artists at that..

Not sure what you're talking about..

^It's a very nice composition on that pic irregardless of peoples' opinions on the Leo toy..

And Trashcan has oodles of personality. Homeless superheroes rock my world.

Are you fucking kidding me??? . This toy was SPECIFICALLY flipped on yja and hyped up by Cosmo. Everything was preplanned. And it was immediately offered at ridiculous prices just to get people excited.

I can respect the time and energy put into making it but it's got too much going on imo and doesn't mesh well together. I'm curious what the appeal with it is and why it's so damn expensive.

they are pretty amazing in hand. this latest release seems to be made out of a milky grey vinyl with a very fine glitter and then painted very subtly in a color that i can only describe as pencil lead. the vinyl itself is very thick, almost zenith'ish and the they are quite heavy. combine all of that with the 4 faces, 360 degree rotating head and torso that can be front or back in almost any combination you turn them in and i don't feel like $200 is that expensive. i'll try to toss up some better pictures soon.

Yeah, this aint no Nag thread. Sounds like jealousy to me

Nobody's being duped. If you like the toy enough, you stump-up the extra dough.
If you don't like it enough, you won't. Almost all sofubi is expensive compared to 'regular' toys.

I can honestly say i've never bought a toy because of 'hype'. Quite the opposite.
I really love the one i scored . . . . . its as mad as a box of frogs.

Well said Moog and BHK.. It really is a hefty slab of vinyl!

I enjoy all the faces and surprising playability it has, even though it is a bit of shelf hog, and kooky as all hell..
Anyway, I lucked out and grabbed one of the Rampage editions for this past NYCC. Jon always does the best paint apps!

Apologies for these sort of drab photos btw, I literally prop pieces of paper up to make a ghetto style sort of light box.. If you couldn't already tell.

Gotta love n00bs chasing the latest high-dollar hawt shit and immediately posting pictures of everything!

Curious if any of 'em would even bother if Skulldrain didn't exist!

Always seems kinda fuckin' needy to me!

All jokes aside... I know that anything NAG related gets shit, andddd yes it's an overpriced hyped toy, BUT, at the end of the day I still think it's a great well painted and executed toy.

All jokes aside, I can't even begin to put into words how terribly distracting that shitty little bracelet-thingy is.
