However I love it dearly who knew a rock could have such charm nice one! ^^ Cheers mate . . . . and yeah, i remember seeing that unpainted white version in your collection photos. Its certainly an eye-catching 'what the f__k is that thing?' kind of toy

Re: BEAR MODEL
I just love those Bearmodel art sheets. So interesting to see how the characters they have done are all so crazy and cross any number of different shows, and yet there seems to be that thread of bizareness and excellent monster design that runs through them all. Fantastic series.
And amazing group shot as always; a Bearmodel family to make anyone smile.

Re: BEAR MODEL
wonderful show of a great collection! who needs access to upper floors when there's clearly a better use for those stairs thanks for compiling the artwork together, too. i'd love a chibi/sd series sculpted as depicted in the second illustration group.

Re: BEAR MODEL
^^ glad u peeps enjoyed them. i had a really slow day at work so that was the result.
I'd love to add more and make a widescreen desktop wallpaper for my mac. Other scans i've found online aren't good enough resolution.

Re: BEAR MODEL
^ no worries.
anyone wanna send me 300 or 400dpi cropped scans of their info sheet pics . . . i can add 'em to the party. greyscale would be fine.
I'd love to get as many as possible screen-printed on a poster or t-shirt.
I know not all of BM's toys come with an info sheet. I wonder how many there are?

Re: BEAR MODEL
Does anyone know anything about the DC Swamp Thing Sofubi that Bear Model did and Frenzy painted? I keep seeing different sites like Entertainment Earth saying it was cancelled but a couple people who pre-ordered from medicom already have them in hand. I am worried because my pre-order was through a comic store and they told me it looks like Diamond may not be filling any of the pre-orders they took after all. So I am stumped.

Re: BEAR MODEL
Well that is incredibly unfortunate if it turns out to true. I really hope it is not. I really wanted to order one of these myself, but I felt the price point was just a bit more than I could afford when the pre-orders came up. I love the figure though. Really nice, if an odd/random choice for Medicom to do. It would be so great to have a full size Swamp Thing in vinyl. Ah well, the Kenner toys will get me through. Fingers crossed for all those orders getting filled. I think going through Medicom directly (when you can, of course) is always the best bet.

Alan Moore made me love the character and this is such a big impressive piece in person. I did more research and it looks like Hastings is now the official and only place allowed to sell this toy. It's limited to 300 made and not available from any other place. Problem now is that even though it's up for pre-order on the official Hastings website it doesn't work. You can get all the way to the final order page and click on checkout but it fails and says contact customer support instead. I am at a loss.

tobor2099 wrote: Thats really strange! Please let us know if you find out what happened. No problem. Monday I will contact Hastings customer support and my comic store owner is going to call his Diamond distributor guy as well. I'll share any info I find. I know this is not supposed to be some artist produced limited edition hard to get toy so I figured posting all this stuff won't bother anyone. I know a few people here have wanted one since they were announced awhile ago. I just don't want anyone here to end up screwed when they go to their local comic shop next month thinking they had this waiting for them.

My first product from Bear Model, Giragindo. I was a bit shaken when an ex pointed out the little guy's eyes resemble boobs!

Re: BEAR MODEL
As far as the Swamp Thing is concerned if you ordered anywhere besides Hastings or Medicom you are probably screwed. All the orders through Previews at any comic shops will not be filled. Diamond whatever thought they could sell this product like the other DC comics sofubi but it's an official Hastings exclusive so they cannot.
The problem is Hastings doesn't actually know how many they will get. Since Medicom took pre-orders and only 300 of the figures were made when they actually arrive at Hastings this month it could be close to 300 figures or as little as half of that amount. If you look at images of the ones already sold through Japan you see they have the official Hastings sticker on them. So it seems you can order from Hastings right now but whether or not your order will be filled is a bit of a toss up since they plan to take all the pre-orders they get then send out whatever number of figures show up in their shipment.
I personally got tired of the not knowing thing and just ordered one from Japan that was already in the sellers hands. Cost more for shipping but Hastings charges sales tax anyway so it wasn't a huge leap in price. Also for anyone thinking about grabbing one you should note that the actual paint on the figure is about twice as dark as the medicom preview images. I think being darker makes it look much better.

Re: BEAR MODEL
Yeah, I can't remember where I saw the initial preview shot of it - maybe when they were still developing it - but I recalled that it looked much darker and more of a swamp/forest green in colour. I was actually shocked when I just saw that photo you posted a while ago, as I thought this might be another version of it, and they were already on a second run (which would be great, don't get me wrong).

Re: BEAR MODEL
i'm curious . . . . does anyone know if this Bunyo was a general Bear Model release or a custom? I dont see it mentioned on the BM website. The previous releases come with an Omake but this doesn't appear to have one.

Re: BEAR MODEL
Moog - Isn't that the one we just saw a few pics of from SDCC. I think it was a ToyTokyo release, but appeared at the Funko booth. I don't think it's a custom.
